As part of my weekly routine online... I check out MSNBC's week in pictures... always entertaining :)

Anyway.. in this weekends version (which you can find at www.msnbc.com ) has something very strange... a creature called a "Sea Angle". (Picture 6)

Can anyone find me info on this creature... I am completely captured by it.. and can't find out anything... not thru google.. or askjeeves. :(

HELP

**** sorry that the image is soooo small.. it is better on their actual slide show.

It would be a deep water creature by the glow it is giving off.

I am unable to find out anything about them either Jenna. Other than they reside in 0 degree salt water and are usually found in very deep water - reason for the glow.....

I did find a larger picture though..they are really kinda neat!

She looks like she's holding a hymnal:p

jennaflower 01-17-2004 05:06 PM

I am glad I am not the only one that can't seem to find much more information... tho I hope someone does..

Thanks for the new picture Cheyanne :) and I agree Lilith.. that is exactly what I thought when I saw her... a hymnal..

I am confused tho.. the msnbc slide show snipit of info says it is a "sea angle"... tho the moment I saw it, I thought "angel" too.. I have done searches for both to no avail... I find the "horns" on its head and it appearance of "angelic" to be a odd combination...

Rarely do I find something that I have never heard of before... and worse.. can't seem to find more info. :(
