Some Space News
NASA has had a mission going for slightly over three years now to collect samples from a comet and return them to earth.
http://stardust.jpl.nasa.gov/ Project Stardust has successfully rondezvoused with comet Wild-2, and collected its samples. http://stardust.jpl.nasa.gov/news/status/040102.html Now, if the return trip goes as smoothly, then we'll be set. Just hope the Mars landing goes as well tomorrow as this mission has gone. |

Should get to see what some real "star stuff" is made of.:) Going to be watching closely tomorrow. |
News this morning had a picture of a cratered, 2 1/2 mile diameter comet core. Interesting.

Landing time is 6:35 CST tonight
|
Follow-up: NASA the other day released some photos of the comet Wild-2 and associated people and equipment.
