Just wondering about people's preferred tradeoffs in a committed relationship...and I do mean tradeoffs! No cheating by saying you want it all!

would trade money and material wealth any time!

Yeah money isn't all that's cracked up to be, as long as you have enough to survive on.

I'd rather have the compatibility with personality, intellect, hobbies and pursuits and sexuality. Otherwise no matter how much of any of the rest you have, those fundamental differences are going to lead to nothing but squabbling.
And fitting any kind of looks/fashion mold is silly - on its own - if you have your health, why obey the dictates of whatever Hollywood or Madison Ave. are trying to push onto people for the moment?

Money and material wealth would be at the top of the list...

But the only thing that I would not ever want to see go away is personality... pretty much all others can be worked around.

I too have to flip a coin between appearance and wealth to be at the top of the list, or is that the bottom?:confused:

We seem to have a consistent “feeling” about this. Now if the real world only “thought” that way.:rolleyes:

This is a tough one.... I would have to vote for appearance.....

Selfishly... if you have enough money.. you can purchase the appearance you want............. I guess, but if the person is kind/generous.. and has a great personality.. appearance isn't all that important when you love someone..

I'd drop the money ... but then money isn't the way I measure success ... success means that the person is happy with who they are in my way of defining it ... that I would never trade!

I'll choose the money, too. However, anyone I'm dating has to have ambition.

Of those four options I gotta let the success thing go. I mean like what are you gonna do with all that cash if you don't have some one sweet with which to share it all. And besides there is always LOTTO!

Interesting that no one has left out skills in bed... If s/he looks good -- but lays there like a log -- is that OK???

shit I voted wrong, I voted for personality but I thought that was what we were keeping, I would have to say wealth also. Really the only one that matters to me is personality, but among the other three money means the least to me.
