Hi all;

Well, we're back from the T.T. safe & sound; managed not to fall off the bike, get caught speeding OR get pissed (drunk) enough to get bothered by the police...... all-in-all a GREAT holiday!! Went round the full 37.73 mile course on Mad Sunday (1st June) and got up to 150 m.p.h. at some parts (with both of us on the bike.....wheeeeeeeee, GREAT fun!!:))

Got some (lots!!) of pix of the Island and a few other bits & pieces; we'll post them as soon as I can decipher the blurb for the new digicam!!

dm---Welcome back!When you mentioned the speed,with two of you on board,it reminded me of something that I did.Years ago,I
got hit on my bike.They pronounced me dead,at Frisbee Hospital,
in Rochester,NH.My wife hired a private ambulance & had me sent
to Maine Medical!Obviously,I didn't die!When I got back,when I
was putting my bike back together(on crutches),I(purposely)left
the passenger pegs off.You can't control,others,from hitting you
and I thought that if my wife&I,both got killed,who would make
sure that my kids&grandkids,were allright?Think about it!Everyone
always says that it happens to everyone else,but not them!

I know where you're coming from Irish.... I've thought that for a long time myself! Nice thing about Mad Sunday is - they shut off a 15-mile stretch over "The Mountain" and make it all one way... that, plus only 2 entries on to that bit of road makes it as safe as it's ever gonna get!

Thanks for the welcome back guys (and Gals!!) ... you might be a bit disappointed with the pics though... we didn't get time enough alone to take any "proper" pix, they're all of the Island and bikes'n'things!!

For anyone interested, I'll be posting them Friday night (UK time) with any luck... see you all then!

dm---It's good that they shut things off,like that.I have friends,
that have been riding&racing for years,that have let their
road drivers license expire,because they say that you have
to be crazy,to drive on the road,because there are so many drivers,with a-"Hooray for me,f--k everybody else!"attitude.
Example:I have been,busted up badly,at LEAST 10 times in the
last 25 years&I have never had a chargeable accident,on a
motorcycle. Irish
