what does it feel like when you have your period?

It feels like cramping and aching and bitching.:o


But I'm a woman and it's what I do *shrugs*!

It suxs, you ache for no reason...your tired all the time...and you cant even think straight.

Well you try bleeding for up to a week and tell me how you feel.

Hey I got told by a friend of mine that you can't trust somthing that Bleeds for a week and lives to talk about it...

Sometimes I try to be all spiritual and think of how women's cycles are attuned to the moon and the tides but usually I just curse that five days of the month. Sometimes the pain is so bad that I'm amazed I can drag myself to work but I do.

it feels like~~~~~~~~yeuch!
it can turn even the most laid back lass into a she~devil!
it hurts
it makes u crazy~~~~~~irrational,hormonal,etc
the "run up" to it is worse
guys rarely understand
and thats only the good bits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It DOES hurt like fuck.....it makes me weepy, bloated and it gets in the way of my sex life.......BUT:

IT MEANS I'M NOT PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm always kinda pleased when I get it! Lol

BY the way the actual sensation of having a period is kind of the same as when you have a really runny nose. All drippy and wet and kind of annoying! Thank heaven for the tampon!!!!!!!!

I'm with you Loulabelle, as much as I hate getting my period, it is a relief each month that I am not pregnant. LOL I know lots of women who say that the menstrual cycle is so beautiful and it means that you have the power to create life and you should embrace it and be happy...well, I agreee that the power to create a new life is awesome but "that time of the month" just plain sucks! LOL Bloating, cramping, constipation, aches and pains, always wet and yucky...UGH!

all I know is that when I start crying while I"m watching friends I know another month has come and time to start taking ibuprofren like it's candy...
All my clothes don't fit right and I get zits and feel overly hot or overly cold or both in waves for the first day or two... Legs are weak and I've no energy for anything and everything I say or do seems to be completely irrationally wrong with no way for me to make it right.. it's best on a day off so I can just hide for the first day or two until everything is cool again..

BUt OH WHen the period is OVER!! WOW I am so happy.. birds are singing and everything is amazingly wonderful...

There should be an 'on' - 'off' button. Turn periods 'off' when you don't want kids, why should girls in high school or younger have to put up with it every month.... (my poor sister-in-law started at 9 years old--definetly needed an 'off' button) Then turn it 'on' when you want to start your family. And be able to turn it 'off' again when you know your finished with babies. (my youngest is almost 17, I'm not having anymore, but every damn month.... I need an 'off' button!!!)

Amazing to me that so many women have such a hard time with it. Believe it or not I thought that I was in the minority w/ such shitty periods. Funny, but the women I know never complain! I feel like such a baby. The cramping is almost as bad a labor pains, I can hardly move for the first 2 days. My bowels get all screwy either constipation or the other way! It just plain old sucks! But I will say that my wonderful gynecologist reccomended sex for the cramping and It actually helps. Orgasm's are almost painful but after the cramping is so much less, it is like an instant pain killer. So I highly recommend lots of sex during your period;)

i get hornier than usual, and that's pretty bad. :D or should i say pretty good.
