Gone, but not forgotten.

Support NASA and their mission.

It was a shorter trip to heaven RIP

I have no doubt that had they known with complete certainty that this would have been the outcome, they still would have gone. Their last days were spent with more awe and bliss than most of us are able to experience in a life time.... the pride that their families and children are left with will never fill the void, but will give them the strength to go on.

As Scarecrow said... it was a short trip to heaven...

TY redstake! Awesome thought jenna! I agree with you 100%!

There is never a guarantee to a long life when we are born! It is logical to think that if you live life to it's fullest each and every day.........you can die with no regrets! I don't believe that those lost in the shuttle had any regrets as to the life they led!

Their familes are in my heart and in my thoughts..............

I am shamefully aware that I will never even approach the TRUE meaning of performing the noblest of deeds contributing to the betterment of our largely unworthy specie in the manner they have. I can only stand in respect, awe and envy at the concept of leaving this world, when my time comes, being so totally involved and meaningfully productive. :(

I totally agree, along with the fact that 7 brave souls perished, the thought that the science experiments they conducted perished along with them and the benefit they could have provided is saddening as well. To paraphrase one of the Nasa scientists said, "...as sad as the lost was, it placed a distant 8th in all that was lost."

A moment of silence...

Redstake, thanks for remembering not just these seven brave people, but all those who work so hard for humanity and peace. Hoping they are now blessed with that peace ... forever.
