Just because
I've had to deal with a lot of people lately who think they are impressive because of the tribulations they have lived through---this is what i have to say--people are not what they've had happen to them, but how've they've dealt with it. It does not make a person impressive to have a lover dump them, but a person who handle's it positively is. What are your thoughts?

they will become wiser and more rational thru all setbacks
and it obviously make them a better man somehow? |
I can agree with you somewhat.............but we are a sum of all our parts!
I think the way people face obstacles, and handle dissappointments and defeats, can be very revealing. I also believe some people's reactions are part of both nurture and nature. Their personality and what they have been permitted to get away with! There is nothing I respect more than a person who handles adversity well, people who see it as a temporary set back, feel bad then get up and keep going. Nothing I respect least then a person who constantly bitches and whines about what life has done to them and yet makes no effort to change things! *steps down flushing and puts the FOR RENT sign back on the soap box* |
well.. handling adversities is one thing.. facing and coping is another one...
perhaps.. a psycharist.. he may be gd in counselling otheres.. but if he needs to counsel himself.. that might not even work for himself |
I've always said I am the woman I am today BECAUSE of the life I had and I wouldn't change a thing (well, maybe just one thing) if I had the chance. I love me and it took all that I went through and all that I did to cope......to make me who I am today!
If that's wrong.........then I don't wanna be right! |
