Nakedness
 

She wears her anguish like a coat
It brings no warmth to her chilled figure
She's never certain that tomorrow will come
And she sees no value in it's anticipation

Her mind plays futile games and battles of will
Her lifeless form incomplete and without features
Her wounds cry and leave her breathless
Her naked soul weeps the moment it's filled

Kind words bring her back just as they always do
Words that attempt to melt her frozen flesh
Not sure she wants to move forward
Not seeing that she has a choice she steps into the abyss

All poured out on the ground in a mass of confusion
I need to be careful as I wade thru this powerful slush
Don't want to crush a single one with my insensitive feet
Sometimes it's so loud in here
