The perfume thread made me think about this........................ What is it you will not skimp on?

I am a _________________________ SNOB!!!!!

Coach Knight 10-24-2002 02:04 PM

Shoes, they dont have to be the most expensive, but dammit they have to not hurt your feet for a minimum of 12 hours on before i will buy them

Steph 10-24-2002 02:49 PM

I agree with the shoe and food snobs :)
I am definitely a hair product snob, too!

Lovediva 10-24-2002 09:06 PM

I am a jewlery snob-ette. :D :D

BamaKyttn 10-24-2002 09:33 PM

I'm a TP snob, never skimp on what is close to your holiest of holes!

dannyk 10-24-2002 10:34 PM

Food, I guess. Once I'm putting my money where my mouth is, there's no 'hold the..' on anything! :p

Booger 10-24-2002 10:34 PM

before I quit drinking I was a snob about my beer

GirlyGirl 10-24-2002 11:37 PM

Shoes, for sure
and lingerie ...gotta have the good stuff...

Pretty much anything I buy for myself LOL

BlondeCurlGirl 10-24-2002 11:45 PM

Several of us girls will have to form a "snob" club here, as we all tend to go for the best of the same things... :)

1. Lingerie
2. Hair Products (Luckily, I get decent discounts working at a salon)
3. Shoes

jjjjbo 10-25-2002 12:48 AM

For about 2 years now -- I only buy Birkenstocks for my feet -- It's the only time I watch the programing on QVC (other than a quick stop to see what's on), so I can see all the more feminine styles and fun colors. I buy em cause when I put them on, it feels even better than going barefoot!!!

quisath 10-25-2002 01:58 AM

Strawberry Sherbert............... :)

Nikki 10-25-2002 05:12 AM

I'm a Lingerie and Chocolate snob.............hehehe

dicksbro 10-25-2002 05:20 AM

Gotta be sex ... er ... our marriage. I'd get about anything for my wife that she wanted. :D :D

FussyPucker 10-25-2002 07:07 AM

Gifts for the ones I love if it's something I know they want and will love then I'll pay :)

Oldfart 10-25-2002 10:22 AM

My friends, they're priceless.

A.K.'s Sex-Pot 10-26-2002 08:27 AM

I've just realised I am a snob about everything!!!!!! But mainly:

1) Food. I always use the best chocolate/butter/meat/whatever that I can lay my hands on when I cook.
2) Cooking utensils (a Sebatier knife and the best quality pans I can possibly have).
3) Wine. Has to be French, I'm afraid.
4) Perfume. Also has to be French.
5) Cars. Have to be German or British.
6) Diamonds. Not just that they are real but that they are clear and a good colour (I used to work in a jewellers!)
7) Gift wrapping - if you're going to spend time and money on a gift, make the effort to wrap it nicely.

Told you I was a snob!

My husband laughs at me... during the holidays sometimes the wrapping cost me more than the presents did. I am a ribbbon freak so I will spend $$ on beautiful ribbon to use on packages.

legend 10-28-2002 06:54 AM

lingerie and chocolate for Nikki......oops, I've said too much ;) :D

BIBI 10-28-2002 11:18 AM

shoes and purses......they HAVE to match with my outfit!!!

cologne too......have many fragrances to match my moods!

skipthisone 10-28-2002 11:19 AM

A good pair of pants, cannot stand cheap trousers

LixyChick 10-28-2002 11:20 AM

Guitar strings........LOL! Ya know what I mean scotz?

Laundry soap..........OMG! I swear by Tide! Oh and Downy softner!

Gift Wrap......I have to agree with AK and Lilith. I am a person that has to find that "perfect" gift for someone I love. It has to say that I was thinking of them alone and could never be meant for anyone else. And when I find it, I get so excited till I present it and I wrap it with as much TLC as I had when I picked it out! The cat loves when I wrap.......he get's lost in all the paper and ribbons.

Geezzzzzz, I had no idea what-so-ever that I was a snob!

Ahhh, every holiday and birthday it drives me nuts that I spend half the price on the gift wrap and tissue and the bag it goes into and the friggin $5 card.
Oh well, just ranting.

All right Lixy, put 'em up!

I just can't wrap so I would rather spend more on the gift than all the ancillary things, especially those damn curly-q ribbons.

Anyway, you always know the gifts I give under the tree. Either they have the entire roll of wrapping paper around a small box creating a big ball of wrapping paper or the last 6-inch sheet of wrapping paper has been cut or stretched to fit around a huge box.

CK

LixyChick 10-28-2002 11:43 AM

LMAO CK......They have these places in stores now.....what a concept......where you can ask this person....usually a chick.......could you wrap this for me?....and voila!.......It be wrapped!

So stick that in your Curly Q and smoke it!

P.S.......Do you have PMS today or sumptin?

OMGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

skipthisone 10-28-2002 11:46 AM

If there were ever good canidates for a 69 its you too, give you both something to do with your mouths besides yammer

I know I used to do that before I got married when I would give them to girlfriends. Now I only use the service if I bought a gift for my wife because I was really in trouble.

A.K.'s Sex-Pot 10-28-2002 01:27 PM

LMAO at STO!!!!!

I agree! What's their problem?

Aren't they getting enough sex?!

I'm starting to wish I'd never mentioned sodding gift wrap. This could be a thread all on its own!!!!

gekkogecko 10-28-2002 01:50 PM

My identity. I'm not about to mis-identify myself as being one of you mammals. I am definitely a lizard snob.

DildoDiva'sMan 10-30-2002 11:30 AM

Well, gotta say I'm a cheapskate. I'd take the cheap way out of just about anything (or try it once). If the cheap stuff isn't just as good or better than the name brand or higher priced item, I'll buy the more expensive one.

SINCE WHEN!?!?! It should say "If the cheap stuff isn't just as good or better than the name brand or higher priced item, I'll just make DildoDiva go without it!"

I just want you all to remember this in 14 days when my birthday rolls around and be good to me! ;)

axe31 10-30-2002 05:41 PM

iam a bargin hound why pay for inflated prices when
i can get the same or better for less i study items i
am going to buy so i know the weekness in them
e.g. ican tell where a pair of trainers is going to fall
apart just by looking using this and takeing my time
to find stuff i get some bargins i wanted a denim
jacket took me a couple of weeks found one a le shark for
10pounds insted of thirty:)

south 10-30-2002 07:22 PM

"skinny-j's" Like what the fuck is up with that? I mean it is a luxury item isn't it...Go Large! Go Fat! Suck it hard and often till your done!
...am I alone on this one or what?
You have a friend who hand you a smoldering toothpick and you trying to catch a buzz off the paper's glue for goodness sake..
You can't suck hard on that it will slip through your fingers cause you can't get a decent hold on the damn thing and next thing you know the back of your throat is on freaking fire.
Is this a friend? I would rather huff diesel fumes.
Ohhpssss...........I shouldn't have gotten started down this path..sorry.
maybe I am a snob.

SOULMINER 10-31-2002 02:56 PM

I'm a "detail" snob. When building furniture or working on my house I don't do things the EASY way, I do them the RIGHT way.
Friends and family think I'm a lunatic for the attention to detail I
give projects, but now, thanks to this thread, I'll tell them it's
snobbery :D

south 11-01-2002 02:22 PM

Soul Miner you are my kind of guy...The problem I have is that I tend to take that stuff into the bedroom and sometimes a quick screwing is better than a thorough screwing...or so says mrs south. Damn it all some people just don't value quality craftsmanship these days.

Santiago 11-02-2002 02:44 AM

everything...I often get flamed by my friends and girlfriend because I wont buy anything "cheap". Its like this example:
me- "Why do you buy ten dollar watches???"
Claire(my gf)- "Why did you buy a 300 dollar watch??"
me- "Because it will last me 30 years and then I wont have to buy a ten dollar watch every year for the next 30 years!!(and its a fuckin awesome watch)"

also: I wanted to buy a pool cue (even though I dont play that often) and couldnt bring myself to buy a 20 dollar one when I knew that I could buy a 100 dollar one.

IAKaraokeGirl 01-26-2004 06:42 AM

*bump*

<----is a stationery snob, goes weak in the knees. Also likes the "good" shampoo and conditioners.

osuche 01-26-2004 07:04 AM

1. Wine
2. Household appliances
3. Cars
