|
Here is my start:
Jessie is a friend Yeah, I know he’s been a good friend of mine But lately something’s changed that ain’t hard to define Jessie’s got himself a girl and I wanna make her mine And she’s watchin’ him with those eyes And she’s lovin’ him with that body, I just know it And he’s holding her in his arms late, late at night You know I wish that I had Jessie’s girl I wish that I had Jessie’s girl Where can I find a woman like that I play along with the charade That doesn’t seem to be a reason to change You know I feel so dirty when they start talkin’ cute I wanna tell her that I love her, but the point is probably moot ‘Cause she’s watchin’ him with those eyes And she’s lovin’ him with that body, I just know it And he’s holding her in his arms late, late at night You know I wish that I had Jessie’s girl I wish that I had Jessie’s girl Where can I find a woman like that Like Jessie’s girl I wish that I had Jessie’s girl Where can I find a woman Where can I find a woman like that And I’m lookin’ in the mirror all the time Wonderin’ what she don’t see in me And I’ve been funny, I’ve been cool with the lines Ain’t that the way love supposed to be Tell me Where can I find a woman like that You know I wish that I had Jessie’s girl I wish that I had Jessie’s girl I want Jessie’s girl Where can I find a woman like that Like Jessie’s girl I wish that I had Jessie’s girl I want, I want Jessie’s girl |

Here is one
Just take those old records off the shelf I'll sit and liten to'em by myself Today's music ain't got the same soul I like the that old time rock'n'roll Don't try to take me to a disco You'll never even get me out on the floor In ten minutes I'll be late for the door I like that old time rock'n'roll Still like that old time rock'n'roll That kind of music just soothes my soul I reminisce about the days of old With that old time rock'n'roll Won't go to hear them play a tango I'd rather hear some blues or funky old soul There's only one sure way to get me to go Start playing old time rock'n'roll Call me a relic Call me what you will Say I'm old -fashion Say I'm over the hill Today's music ain't got the same soul I like that old time rock'n'roll Still like that old time rock'n'roll That kind of music just soothes my soul I reminisce about the days of old With that old time rock'n'roll :D |
Oh Mikky You So fine
You so fine you blow my mind Hey Mikky (clapclap-clap) Hey Mikky (clapclap-clap) Oh Mikky You So fine You so fine you blow my mind Hey Mikky (clapclap-clap) Hey Mikky (clapclap-clap) I won't go any farther....that should be enough to have you all singing for the next 3 days or so. |
Bah, I remeber the 80s, I am glad they ended 12 years ago. although sometimes I would like to turn back the clock maybe 10 years to like 1992, just so I could see what would happen if i made diffrent choices here and there.

DEFINITION OF NOTHING GOOD
Wake Me Up Before You Go Go By: Wham! Jitterbug Jitterbug Jitterbug Jitterbug You put the boom-boom into my heart You send my soul sky high when your lovin' starts Jitterbug into my brain Goes a bang-bang-bang 'til my feet do the same But something's bugging you Something ain't right My best friend told me what you did last night Left me sleepin' in my bed I was dreaming, but I should have been with you instead. Wake me up before you go-go Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo Wake me up before you go-go I don't want to miss it when you hit that high Wake me up before you go-go 'Cause I'm not plannin' on going solo Wake me up before you go-go Take me dancing tonight I wanna hit that high (yeah, yeah) You take the grey skies out of my way You make the sun shine brighter than Doris Day Turned a bright spark into a flame My beats per minute never been the same 'Cause you're my lady, I'm your fool It makes me crazy when you act so cruel Come on, baby, let's not fight We'll go dancing, everything will be all right Wake me up before you go-go Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo Wake me up before you go-go I don't want to miss it when you hit that high Wake me up before you go-go 'Cause I'm not plannin' on going solo Wake me up before you go-go Take me dancing tonight I wanna hit that high (yeah, yeah, baby) (Jitterbug) (Jitterbug) Cuddle up, baby, move in tight We'll go dancing tomorrow night It's cold out there, but it's warm in bed They can dance, we'll stay home instead (Jitterbug) Wake me up before you go-go Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo Wake me up before you go-go I don't want to miss it when you hit that high Wake me up before you go-go 'Cause I'm not plannin' on going solo Wake me up before you go-go Take me dancing tonight Wake me up before you go-go, don't you dare to leave me hanging on like a yo-yo Take me dancing (MAKES ME ILL) |

Ya all been listening to the wrong music from the 80's....
There was ALOT of kick ass music coming out of Los Angeles in the 80's....Van Halen, Guns N Roses, Motley Crue, now those guys played music. All the pop syntheshit gave music from the 80's a bad rap man. Other ass kicking 80's bands include Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne (who needs to hang it up now), Dio, and Night Ranger. In the 80's that I remember, It was all about energy....and those bands had it! |
OK now early 80's my first trip to Laconia B.O.C. 81 i believe ...NO ONE can say anything bad bout B.O.C.
Blue Oyster Cult Don't Fear The Reaper All our times have come Here but now they're gone Seasons don't fear the reaper Nor do the wind the sun or the rain (we can be like they are) Come on baby (don't fear the reaper) Baby take my hand (don't fear the reaper) We'll be able to fly (don't fear the reaper) Baby I'm your man La-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la-la Valentine is done Here but now they're gone Romeo and Juliet Are together in eternity (Romeo and Juliet) 40,000 men and women everyday (like Romeo and Juliet) 40,000 men and women everyday (redefine happiness) Another 40,000 coming everyday (we can be like they are) Come on baby (don't fear the reaper) Baby take my hand (don't fear the reaper) We'll be able to fly (don't fear the reaper) Baby I'm your man La-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la-la Love of two is one Here but now they're gone Came the last night of sadness And it was clear she couldn't go on Then the door was open and the wind appeared The candles blew then disappeared The curtains flew then he appeared (saying don't be afraid) Come on baby (and she had no fear) And she ran to him (then they started to fly) They looked backward and said goodbye (she had become like they are) She had taken his hand (she had become like they are) Come on baby (don't fear the reaper) |
Chicago:
If You Leave Me Now (Don't go, please don't go...) If you leave me now, you'll take away the biggest part of me Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo, no, baby please don't go And if you leave me now, you'll take away the very heart of me Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo, no, baby please don't go A love like ours is love that's hard to find How could we let it slip away? We've come too far to leave it all behind How could we end it all this way? When tomorrow comes and we'll both regret things we said today A love like ours is love that's hard to find How could we let it slip away? We've come too far to leave it all behind How could we end it all this way? When tomorrow comes and we'll both regret things we said today If you leave me now, you'll take away the biggest part of me Ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo, no, baby, please don't go (I am melting away!) |
Song Comfortably Numb
Hello. Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me. Is there anyone home? Come on, now. I hear you're feeling down. Well I can ease your pain, Get you on your feet again. Relax. I need some information first. Just the basic facts: Can you show me where it hurts? There is no pain, you are receding. A distant ship's smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'. When I was a child I had a fever. My hands felt just like two balloons. Now I got that feeling once again. I can't explain, you would not understand. This is not how I am. I have become comfortably numb. Ok. Just a little pinprick. [ping] There'll be no more --Aaaaaahhhhh! But you may feel a little sick. Can you stand up? I do believe it's working. Good. That'll keep you going for the show. Come on it's time to go. There is no pain, you are receding. A distant ship's smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move but I can't hear what you're sayin'. When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse, Out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look but it was gone. I cannot put my finger on it now. The child is grown, the dream is gone. I have become comfortably numb. (Definately a great song of the 80's...my mom's fav) |

Ah yes the 80's when music took on a visual side with the birth of MTV - back when MTV actually played music almost all the time ....
Bruce's "I'm on Fire" and several others of his which were almost painfully sensual/sexual. Don Henley's Boys of Summer Tina Turner's What's Love got to do with it? like Coach Knight .... I could list so many more .... but I'll leave some for the rest of you. :) |
oh, you guys! Thanks for the memories! And I still wear big hair, although the flat-haired girls sometimes "tease" me about it. And I still listen to the heavy metal rock. I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one!

I feel a hot wind on my shoulder And the touch of a world that is older Turn the switch and check the number Leave it on when in bed I slumber I hear the rhythms of the music I buy the product and never use it I hear the talking of the dj Can't understand just what does he say? I'm on a mexican radio I'm on a mexican radio I dial it in and tune the station They talk about the u.s. inflation I understand just a little No comprende--it's a riddle I'm on a mexican radio I'm on a mexican radio I wish I was in Tiajuana Eating barbequed iguana I'd take requests on the telephone I'm on a wavelength far from home I feel a hot wind on my shoulder I dial it in from south of the border I hear the talking of the dj Can't understand just what does he say? How about the 60s?In 1980;I was 36.My first trip to Laconia;was for the yearly motorcycle party;not music.Anything by the "Rolling

Mid 80's I was only 6, but I was the coolest darn 6 year old in school (I have an older sister!). It's so difficult to think of just one good 80's song - I love all of them, but some which are really nostalgic for me include:
'I wanna know what love is' - Foreigner 'Alone' - Heart 'The Voice' - John Farnham 'Zoom' - Fat Larry's Band (my Mum's favourite!) 'Time after Time' - Cyndi Lauper Oh God, somebody stop me, I could go on and on and on. . . |
Toto: Rosanna
Gazebo: I like Chopin Steve Winwood: While you see a chance J. Geils Band: Freeze Frame Evelyn Thomas: High Energy Ashford + Simpson: Solid Imagination: Just An Illusion Max Werner: Rain in May Limahl: Neverending Story Gaskin + Stewart: It´s my party Ryan Paris: Dolce Vita Rah Band: Clouds across the moon Captain Sensible: Wot |
