I am compiling a list of 10 goals I want to accomplish in my life.......
What is on your Top 10 List of life time achievement goals?????? |
Very Interesting thread, Lilith! I don't know if I can come up with all 10, but I'll give it a shot....
Here is my Top 10 List of Lifetime Achievement Goals (in no particular order) 1. To move away from the Detroit area, possibly to the Branson/Springfield MO area. 2. To actually complete a quilt. 3. To get out of debt 4. To see the Pyramids and Sphinx in person. 5. To loose about 100 lbs., for health reasons as well as wanting to feel better about myself. 6. To complete, as much as possible, all the family history I've been researching since 1983 7. To try all those recipes I've saved from magazines for years. 8. To see all my sons established in stable jobs, and stable relationships, and happy. 9. To see an end to my husband's sexual difficulties and a reestablishment of our sex life. 10. To see the Lions win the Superbowl!!! (and I believe this goal is the LEAST likely to be achieved!!:D:D:D |
mine is to marry someone who passionately loves me

Here's my little offering...
1. FInd & marry a great woman 2. Become a Father 3. Start my own business 4. Business to become successful enough that I don't have to run it 5. Finish rennovating my Grandmothers house 6. Double my charity work (try it, you might really like it!) 7. Buy my mother a new car 8. Lower my golf handicap by 5 9. Move back to the area I grew up... one day. 10. To stay out of trouble the rest of my life :D |
1. Have a successful career
2. Fall in love 3. Marry 4. Have children 5. Travel overseas 6. Be financially secure 7. Give more than i receive 8. Be less judgemental 9. Be healthy And if everything else fails 10. Happiness.......... it will get me through |

1. To be an editor of a national newspaper 2. To be a successful freelance writer 3. To write a book Just three, I guess! |

2. have kids 3. Join a band 4. Finish of my CMA and Computer course 5. Get employed at a growing company 6. Get all the things done to me that my S/O wants to do (cept when she's in a bad mode, well some bad moods) 7. Be a grandfather 8. financily secure 9. make more money then my dad 10. 2. live amongst the apes 3. acquire an '83 Cadillac convertible, canary yellow, ragtops and leopard interior 4. finish my bodysuit as soon as possible 5. find a permanent hair-removal formula 6. have sideburns like the dude from Kentucky Headhunters 7. become head of creative development for any wrestling federation 8. move to Seattle, Ireland, or Scotland (daddy likes him some rain) 9. become just financially well-off enough to pave my yard 10. find an infallible method of wasp/bee/hornet/horsefly decimation that'll do for now. but likely, it'll change before the day's through. |

1) Finish my undergrad studies. 2) Move back to New Orleans and attend LSU for my gradschool. 3) Become an established psychologist in a very well-respected psychiatric firm. 4) Find a girl that I can be happy with. 5) Eventually open up my own psychiatric firm. 6) Become the head of an organization that help under- privelaged children. 7) Get a huge loft right in New Orleans. 8) Visit every country that I want to. 9) Surround myself with friends that respect me and take me for who I am. 10) Have a family. * I know that my list is probably very boring, but it's my goals in life *LOL* :) :) :) |
1. Always remain surrounded by my family and friends
2. See both of my children grow up happy and loving and find stable careers and good relationships 3. Be financially comfortable 4. Travel to all of the countries that I've dreamed of 5. Have a large library..and never stop collecting books 6. Finish my back piece 7. Get my PhD in history 8. Keep my marriage and our sex life as open and amazing as we can 9. Build a house on the lake with a boat 10. Retire EARLY!!! |

Clint, Don't be concerned whether your list is boring or not. Our goals don't have to be exciting. The main thing is that they are important to us! My list is far from exciting.......but it's what I want for myself. Now we all just have to figure out how to achieve as many of our goals as possible and work as hard as we can to achieve them. Ok I have been reading others lists and its my turn:
Go back to college and get my PhD Get out of debt have my kids love me for being a great dad, and not a grumpy one! To know that I have touched someones heart To always have time for others To be secure To be happy To get the job I am being interviewed for today!!!! To be loved and give love in return ~ unconditionally and I believe I will get all of the above, infact the last one I think I already have so its probably a bit of a cop out! |
oh and be able to count to ten !!!!!!!! :rolleyes: ;)
And I want to get my PhD??????? |

1. To be a good father 2. To be a good husband 3. To fulfill my career goals 4. To lose 10 lbs and keep it off 5. To find peace and salvation in Jesus Christ 6. To become a respectable golfer 7. To buy and live in a home that costs more than $500,000 8. To visit my parents 4-6 times per year 9. To learn how to play the piano 10. To travel around the world rabbit |
1. learn how to drive--going for my permit and lessons soon, so stay off the sidewalks!!!
2. get a divorce 3. get my possessions back 4. get out of debt 5. move to a new place 6. get a job i really love 7. find someone who will be good to me 8. lose weight 9. learn to love myself 10. re-establish a connection with my half-sister and father's side of the family (but not necessarily with him and his wife) |

my top 10... 1) To learn to love myself (flaws and all) and in the process become happier with life in general 2) To be the best mom my son could hope for 3) To raise my son to become a loving, healthy, respected man 4) To make my parents proud. 5) To become financially stable 6) To travel to Italy 7) Succeed in my job and remain there for the next 20 years. 8) To be a wonderful friend to those who have supported me over the years (and in the future). 9) To find a man who will love me completely, who will accept me for who I am (flaws and all). 10) To become a better human being. |

In no particular order: :) 1. To someday own a drum set. 2. To visit many Pixies friends (you know who you are) who brighten my life in ways unimaginable. 3. To see my children succeed in whatever they want out of life. 4. To visit Scotland. 5. To develop my voice enough that I'm not afraid to belt something out at any place or any time. 6. To have time enough to enjoy the person who has become most special to me. 7. To learn how to draw. 8. To publish something. 9. To visit all 50 states (30 down, 20 to go) 10. To attend a University of Kentucky basketball game. |
