So do ya like to sing along with the music???

Lilith 04-15-2002 01:19 AM

OMG I am shameless! I think I am a fucking rockstar! Best Freddy song to sing is "Sombody to Love"

Jizzlobber 04-15-2002 01:21 AM

...I'm a singer...I used to torture all the regulars at this pub in North York evey Saturday for years singing karaoke...It was fun...And I also agree that Freddie was one rightous dude...

Reverend Silky 04-15-2002 02:45 AM

yeah, i sing... kinda. sounds like somebody's beatin' a baby with a cat, but i do. i can bust ass on some Johnny Cash, though. Leonard Cohen, too.

nutworld 04-15-2002 02:51 AM

In my minds eye, I can sing with all of them, from Jim Morrison to the 'Stones to Metallica to Creed.

Unfortunatly, what ends up coming out would be called a "screech" at best.

But damn it!! its an enthusiastic screech, usually loud to..just to get that point across.

Oldfart 04-15-2002 07:31 AM

Yes, the fifth sixth and seventh Beatle.

legend 04-15-2002 10:50 AM

depends on my mood i think.....i put music on if i'm pissed off, but i don't sing along to it....but when i'm happy, i will....and i can't sing

Sharni 04-15-2002 01:01 PM

Yep....i love to sing along.....specially in the car

Oh and i like to bop along with he music at the same time.....i can tell ya i often get some weird looks from other drivers *LOL*

jay 04-15-2002 04:43 PM

kimmer22 04-15-2002 06:50 PM

vampeyes 04-15-2002 07:11 PM

I am always singing.... Its one of my most annoying traits lmao :)

ASH 04-15-2002 09:42 PM

I only sing in my car when i'm alone. i try to spare people the torture. and i sing loud!! and i'm with sharni as far as also dancing to the music. you have no idea how many times i've been stopped at a red light, doing my thing, only to look over and see the people beside me (and usually the ones behind me) giving me the weirdest looks. i never know why. i'm a kickass car dancer. woohoo!!

mindboxer505 04-16-2002 11:51 AM

yes.....very loud annoys the hell out of my wife......speciall my rendition of Aerosmith's walk this way....love in the elevator....and permanent vacation.......
as far as car singing, im also a pretty good drums/steering wheel pounder......got my cybals to the top...main drum is the center......snare on the left and gas pedal/brake bass drum(or what ever it is called......))

jnd_lady 04-16-2002 11:57 AM

yes i'm a sing along... my kids say i'm tone deaf so I guess when my dog sings along with me it's not because he likes me.

Me too, Mindboxer.

I do it so much that my 3 yr old son has seen me do it and now he will start banging away on his car-seat, when I've got some good tunes on, and he'll say to me " Da-ddy, I'm playing drums..you play guitar too".

RandyGal 04-16-2002 01:55 PM

Been a musician for many years, an "air" musician longer still... have done all of the above, & here's the topper... my 10-yr-old finds it very disturbing when I use the edge of the dash for the keyboard solo....

Was that you, I saw the other day?

and I thought I was the only one with the built-in Ensoniq synth, in the dashboard.

RandyGal 04-17-2002 12:12 AM

HAH!

You amateurs play the air guitar but the dashboard keyboard?

HAH! I say HAH!! again....

THIS pro plays AIR KEYBOARD!!!

So HAH!!!

(haven't played air cello yet...am waiting to get just a teensy bit more senile before attempting that one) :D :D :D

nutworld 04-17-2002 12:14 AM

I never claimed to be "pro".

:)

RandyGal 04-17-2002 12:43 AM

*smooching you and running the other direction*

*i hate to be smacked away like a fly*

:D

nutworld 04-17-2002 12:46 AM

Never, RandyGal, Never.

scotzoidman 04-17-2002 02:28 AM

Air Keyboard? Nonono... must have a solid surface to sim keys, else how is Rick Wakeman gonna play his part without my help?

Once, my drummer & I were driving home from the music store where he had purchased new sticks... sitting at the light, feeling silly, I took his sticks and became the Great Conductor at the Philharmonic... looked around to see 2 dudes in a van next to us laughing their asses off at me... busted!

danziggy 04-17-2002 07:55 AM

Unforunatly i cant even talk in tune let alone sing in tune.

i would love to be able to sing tho. But i suppose i will have to just put the music up really loud so no one can hear.

i also sing in the car but only when im alone. would make every one deaf if they heard me.

legend 04-17-2002 10:08 AM

Did you know that there are actually air guitar competitions held around the world! Just watch the clip to "Chunky Chunky Air Guitar" by The Whitlams, to see some of an Australian comp.

Hey! here's an idea! Let's all get together for Karoke! I LOVE to sing...in the car...at work...at the 'puter...at Karoke...in the shower (wonderful acustics)...anywhere there's music...and even where there aint!

WOuld love to get toghter with all the air instrumentalists too...air guitar, dashboard keys, steering wheel drummers...got room for an air upright base? realy tho...if there ever IS a pixies convention...hopefully at a camprgound or nudist colony...i'll be sure and bring my 12-string and lute...

souls_cry2000 04-17-2002 12:27 PM

Depends on the song. Most times I just like to mello and blend with the music becoming one. Must be that bit of the Raver still living inside me. I'm going to take Kyttn to one, one of these days.

Have been singing to you all along....

"Pretty woman, walking down the street.
Pretty woman, the girl I'd like to meet..."

legend 04-18-2002 11:44 AM

I wonder how you would explain if you got into an accident because you were playing the air keyboad/guitar/drums.

Yes officer, like i said, i was getting really into this big riff on my air guitar and didn't notice the old lady with a walker crossing the road!

Murphy 04-18-2002 12:06 PM

Me too,

Good one Legend.

One of my daughters gets SOO mad at me when I get going on the drums.

"Stop it! Stop it!, we're gonna crash!"

What do you think the odds are of me acutually stopping at that point ??

Not bad, not bad, but I know you....you can do better than that....

I'm sure you know something more *romantic*......I'll wait.....

GermanSteve 04-18-2002 03:13 PM

If the music is of my favourites, I enjoy singing a lot (until loosing my voice). And in my car I´m using the gear stick like a base drum because the speakers are only toys.

scotzoidman 04-18-2002 11:24 PM

Coming home from work tonite, saw one that topped us all...
Young blonde lady, sitting at the light next to me, in her green Mustang... I was pretty intent on "Born on the Bayou" by CCR, something caught my eye... she was dancing in her car! arms in the air, hands holding up her hair, shaking her bonbon right there in the driver's seat... either that, or her hemorrhoids were acting up on her... ;)

Lilith 04-18-2002 11:35 PM

LMAO Scotz..... I had a personal episode myself with "Tempted By The Fruit Of Another" on the way to class tonight and embarassed myself pretty good.

scotzoidman 04-19-2002 12:34 AM

Oh yeh Lil... Squeeze is so great, but dangerous to drive with... polyrhythms that interfere with my ability to operate machinery...
