What's for dinner?

I've had pork carnitas simmering in the crock pot all day.

Lilith 11-05-2012 05:47 PM

Burgers- Most Honorable Son has taken to liking a runny fried egg on top

Oldfart 11-05-2012 05:56 PM

Jelly egg? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Pita 11-05-2012 09:44 PM

I had to work until 8pm, so I had toast and hot tea. I normally have toast and red wine, but my dear husband forgot to buy me more wine.

dicksbro 11-06-2012 05:24 AM

I just had some tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich last night. Just wasn't hungry.

WildIrish 11-06-2012 09:32 AM

Mrs. WI is not working today and I have a meeting tonight. Dinner should be interesting. ha ha

Pita 11-06-2012 03:37 PM

Tonight we are going to this wonderful little restaurant in town that serves awesome cajun/creole food. I will be having the Eggplant Pirogue, which is....fried eggplant boat, filled with crab and shrimp and topped with crawfish etouffée. And because this is a special night I might even get a side order of their creamed spinach that is out of this world!

WildIrish 11-06-2012 03:49 PM

Damn...that sounds great!

Pita 11-06-2012 04:25 PM

Awww WI, you wanna transport yourself over and come to dinner with us? :)

WildIrish 11-06-2012 04:35 PM

Either that or I'll have to make my own version using a green pepper & some tuna fish. :p

Pita 11-16-2012 07:55 PM

If that is directed at my horseradish cheese, I got it a Kroger in the deli department.

Yes, it was. At Costco they have a creamy horseradish cheese that I have tried but never purchased. Looks like it would melt well.

ShadowDancer 11-17-2012 05:09 PM

we went quick & relatively cheap with Pizza from Little Caesar's....$5 hot & ready to pick up (for the pepperoni & cheese $8 for the triple meat feast)

dicksbro 11-18-2012 02:01 AM

Not sure about this evening. We're going to spend the day in Decatur at my wife's brother's home. Last night, we had cheese and bean enchiladas with rice, a great salad and some white cake afterwards. Very good. :)

jseal 11-18-2012 07:23 AM

Dearsweet made Mulligatawny soup. It was delicious!

I had to Google that name since I've never seen it. Read a half dozen recipes and it sounds delish! Will have to give it a try. :)

Oldfart 11-18-2012 05:27 PM

Dearsweet knows the soup nazi?

Lilith 11-18-2012 06:09 PM

Made a breakfast casserole. No one ever complains about breakfast for dinner

Pita 11-18-2012 08:15 PM

We had breakfast for dinner too! Scrambled eggs with cheese, pre-cooked bacon, and toast with blackberry jam.

dicksbro 11-19-2012 07:53 AM

We do that every so often, too. Scrambled eggs, some form of meat, and toast. Makes for a nice, light dinner. Yesterday evening, after a day at my brother-in-law's with tons of good food to eat ... we just had a fast food burger and fries as we drove home.

WildIrish 11-19-2012 10:35 AM

I stuffed tomatoes with imitation crab meat salad and served it on a bed of lettuce. Even the kids enjoyed it! Win!

Pita 12-01-2012 07:43 PM

Just had a cup of yogurt and will finish it with a glass of wine when I get home.

jseal 12-01-2012 08:18 PM

We finished off the last of the Thanksgiving leftovers.

gigi 12-01-2012 10:27 PM

yum

A Primanti's sandwich. If you have never partaken (too sad), Let me drop a little wisdom on you. Boom!

Lord Snow 12-01-2012 11:03 PM

Considering it is now my 10 in morning so to speak.......ummmmm......no clue. Don't even know what's for breakfast yet.

Pita 12-02-2012 03:38 PM

I will be making an asiago crusted chicken breast with crispy zuchinni fritters on the side.

Lilith 12-02-2012 05:24 PM

chili and cornbread

Pita 12-03-2012 03:52 PM

Considering it's almost 4pm and I still haven't had lunch, my dinner will be my lunch. :)

WildIrish 12-03-2012 03:58 PM

Last night I roasted a chicken & shredded the meat over a spinach & mushroom salad with ho'made lime-garlic dressing.

And DAMN does chili sound great!

ShadowDancer 12-03-2012 05:04 PM

homemade chicken nuggets tossed in terriyaki or bbq sauce w/ a side of tater tots. my hubs has a 2nd job working at the local Hooters Sports Bar and is learning all the ins and outs of frying up chicken and cooking that he has never done before.

Lilith 12-03-2012 06:28 PM

WI that salad sounds yum 'cept hold the fungus.

WildIrish 12-04-2012 02:57 PM

Tonight, it's chicken curry. I'll have it over rice and Mrs. WI will have it on a bed of mixed greens.

Sans fungus. :p

kleclere 12-04-2012 06:42 PM

Pita 12-19-2012 05:22 PM
