I went to a PD (personal development) day yesterday for work, the speaker was telling us how to deal with stress and have a more positive outlook on life. One question she put to us, and that we are to answer daily is....

What is the 1 good thing that happened to you today??

So come on all, share some positives!

Today mine is....well my day has just begun, and i do mean just, sooooooo

I woke alive and breathing *L*

One of my cats curled up with me.

my boss bought me lunch

I helped several of my students to an "ah-ha!" moment.

My boyfriend brought my morning coffee into my bedroom and hopped into bed with me.

Other than waking up still warm & breathing, nothing good has happened, but it's early yet...

A friend I haven't seen in 22 years stopped by and we went to lunch and caught up.

Getting an extra five today.

Finally finishing up a landscaping project that's taken parts of 3 seasons (over 4 different years). We started with the road side of the house in 2006 (when I first started as a full time employee), then we came back in late season 2008 to start on the lake side of the home. And, as of today, my coworkers and I are done on the property for good (or, at least, until the homeowners decide to change something). Well, we are ddone there except for the maintainance.

Talking for nearly 2 hours on the phone with an old friend that I haven't talked to (other than 1 time on Facebook) for probably 7 years or so

Good thing...hmmmm..i need to search a bit today so far *L*

Watching Moonlight and still enjoying even though i've seen the series before

Finding out I left a lasting impression on someone.

Went shopping with a friend, who is truly handicaped when it comes to clothes shopping, and helped her find several new outfits for her work.

Finding out an old friend in now an in-law. We lost touch for a bit after leaving the states, and during that time she married my cousin's son. Seeing the pics made me smile and smile .

I had a really fun night watching a movie and drinking LOTS of wine with some girlfriends.

good thing we are still here and didn't get b~l~o~w~n a~w~a~y with the 2 tornadoes that passed within miles of our home. We are all physically ok, but emotionally.... well we hope better by tomorrow.

Shewwwww, glad you both are sage and sound, lizzardbits! That's one BJ, i'm sure mayhem is glad he missed.

Now back to the thread at hand......there's a gentleman that i talk to maybe monthly and he has a good friend in NSW from the southern US. So everytime I talk to this guy, he'll always throw some phrase or word at me that he gets from his NSW friend. Yesterday, when I answered the phone, the first thing he says is "Have you had any bell peppers lately." Only he says it in an Aussie-fied Southern accent. Just cracks me up.

I'm with Lizz we don't get that many tornadoes here in Jersey nor are they that powerful but on Saturday evening though I't wasn't confirmed on the news ....but I got eyes and from the swirling winds and the damage all too close by.... less than a mile I even saw that typical siding and roof shingles blown off that you see with near misses or less powerful ones

Just got up about an hour ago and so getting up and getting on to Pixies is good news .. and finishing up the 4th of my planned 12 chemo treatments yesterday is good news, too! :)

I'm home in one piece.

It's Friday!!!

And the fact that there are only 17 weeks to Xmas holidays *LOL*

Finding out my job might last another week.

Mr. Lil and I are heading out for dinner and a movie at a local cafe. It's a midnight showing of Rocky Horror complete with REAL transvestites :D :thumbs:

I dug out some dirt & laid down some bricks for a firepit, & broke it in by burning some scrap wood that's been accumulating in my basement for years.

I got my email inbox cleaned out and then had a great Chinese dinner

Sounds like something worth celebrating with Chinese.

I got clarity on a job I applied for.

I had the time and opportunity to just lounge about and drink coffee for several hours. Ahhhhhhh.
