It's Spring

I have the house open, shorts on, flip-flops with a new pedi. Gonna be nearly 80 here.

:cheerlead  :heartbeat :bfly:  :cabbagep: :boink: :nana: :lurv: :loveshowe

PantyFanatic 03-07-2009 02:03 PM

It's 62F here too. :nana: *NA NA NU NANA* :nana:

(and it was 9F Wednesday and is going back to 27F by next Wednesday, but we had one good one ;) )

dicksbro 03-07-2009 04:01 PM

Beautiful day yesterday with a high near 70. 50's between now and Wednesday, then dropping back into the 20s and 30s. :( Plus it's been threatening rain and they've issued flood watches for the area. :(

Like PF said, at least we had the one beautiful day! :)

Oldfart 03-07-2009 06:17 PM

Mutter, grumble, we've a Cyclone moving in to block off my driving path home. This may add another 1300 miles (2000km) to my trip.

Ah, but you didn't mention a top, so we can still hope!

jseal 03-08-2009 04:35 PM

Upper 70's here. Interesting that I cannot find a Celsius measurement at baltimoresun.com

dicksbro 03-08-2009 06:22 PM

Rain this morning. Drove over to a nearby town and the retention ponds are all full and the creeks are full and running fast. That's more like spring than winter. And now, we've got 30 mph winds with gusts over 40. Whew! I was happy with 70's and light winds. Oh well, as long as it gets better soon.

mercifulangel 03-08-2009 08:07 PM

great here today - - - - tomorrow probbly not so good

jay-t 03-08-2009 10:19 PM

The Bradford pear trees are in full bloom, the sweetgum and red bud is budding out. Its been almost 80 here for 3 days

Pita 03-09-2009 07:23 AM

Finally it's time to ditch the heavy coats! I love spring. We are going to the botanical gardens this week and having a picnic. :)

Aqua 03-09-2009 02:44 PM

HA! It's snowing here.

PantyFanatic 03-09-2009 02:53 PM

It's above freezing here. :sun:

(by 2 degrees :hair: )

campingboy 03-09-2009 10:42 PM

Sometimes you just have to laugh, because if I cried my tears would just freeze to my face.
It's only -18c right now.
Tomorrow, the forecast is for a high of -19 and blowing snow.

dicksbro 03-10-2009 04:53 AM

RAIN! RAIN! RAIN! Still raining. They expected a couple of inches last night and another inch today. Creeks and streams are flooding as is the Illinois River in spots. We're okay (so far :wish: ) but there's not much room for much more.

It'll be warm enough today, but with more rain. Then, the bottom falls out. It'll be 64 today, then 24 tonight and a high of only 36 tomorrow and about the same on Thursday. :(

gekkogecko 03-10-2009 12:52 PM

Hey, at least th temperatures will stop the flowing water.

Maybe.

For just a little bit.

Lord Snow 03-10-2009 07:40 PM

Nah with that kind of luck it will snow and then melt in a few days causing more floods. Good luck Dicksbro. It was kind of nice but threatened to rain this afternoon. It didn't. Supposed to be colder the next few days.

pinkFlames 03-11-2009 02:26 AM

I only know 2 seasons: Summer is hot and dry, Winter is cool and dry. What's this 'Spring' you guys are talking about?

scotzoidman 03-11-2009 07:54 AM

Around here, "spring" is an approximately 2 week period when you turn off the heat, & make damn sure your A/C is ready to go.

Lord Snow 03-11-2009 07:18 PM

Actually I think that for the most part, the only seasons I know of in the south is F*CKIN' HOT and fall. Spring is about the same as fall, only it gives way to the previous F*CKIN' HOT.

scotzoidman 03-11-2009 10:45 PM

Actually, seasons break down to uncertain transitions like we got right now (in the 80sF yesterday, with the threat of snow/sleet/freezing rain tonite) to hot, followed by the afore-mentioned *ficking hot* (as our Pixie visitors discovered last July), followed by sorta hot (known as autumn), then cold & damp, then here we go again...

wyndhy 03-20-2009 10:23 AM

themi01 03-20-2009 11:47 AM
