I don't give a shit about gas prices

It's the rise in cheap ass pizza that is killing me. Generic chain stuff here used to be $3.99 for a large cheese pie. Now it's $5.75. Crazy, crazy I tell you.

:fone: :2cents: :bs:

Aqua 07-30-2008 07:11 PM

Ha! You're lucky to find frozen pizza that cheap around here. (Not that you're really lucky to find frozen pizza. Ewww. )

Lilith 07-30-2008 07:14 PM

Frozen is more here. And better than some chains.

jseal 07-30-2008 08:27 PM

Spaghetti has almost doubled in price.

IowaMan 07-30-2008 08:35 PM

Wow, I think it's $10.99 for a large cheese pizza at the local chain back here. Very good stuff though.

I'm not talking good pie. I'm talking Hungry Howies, etc.

Pita 07-30-2008 10:00 PM

Mmmmm I miss Hungry Howies pizza!!!

dicksbro 07-31-2008 04:29 AM

We're looking at close to $10 for a pizza at any of the pizza places. :(

A slice of cheese pizza at Casey's is $1.79.

gekkogecko 07-31-2008 08:20 AM

Ha, around here, even the cheapest chain pies are around $6.50 now.

All pie is good pie...

Ooops, sorry, you didn't mean that kind of pie, did you...

Jude30 07-31-2008 09:08 PM

The pizza place I work at just had to raise prices across the board. Cheese prices were killing the owner. We've been trying to get him to raise his prices for about three months now.

On the down side the rise in prices has screwed me out of a lot of tips.

osuche 07-31-2008 11:18 PM

Um....I paid $23 for a large (decent) pizza with 3 toppings (on Monday)

The cheapest stuff around here is about $11/pie

IowaMan 08-01-2008 04:11 AM

A decent pizza? I'll take it that means you didn't go to Zachary's? :(

And DB, you really made me wish that Casey's was open right now. I could use a slice or two of their pizza. Love that stuff!!! And it's only a block away from my house. :cabbagep:

Don't forget their tenderloins!! Yummy! :)

Lilith 08-01-2008 08:18 AM

Decent pizza is $20+ here too. I'm talking fast food pizza. Little Caesar's is $5.

wyndhy 08-01-2008 09:37 AM

stouffer's (granted, that’s a slightly less crappy form of crap) was on sale here, bogo for 5$. that's a regular price of 5 bucks for two lousy, small pieces of "french bread" with too much sauce and not enough cheese or toppings. i didn’t realize how pricey they were getting til you mentioned it, lil.

Teddy Bear 08-02-2008 12:49 AM

I'm hungry for pizza now.

A slice of 'special' with everything but mushrooms will do nicely. Thank you. :D
