Oldfart 09-16-2007 07:38 AM

Was that taken with a tripod and the timer?

My best night pics, some taken in almost total darkness, were with tripod, night setting and timer.

LixyChick 09-16-2007 08:07 AM

Oh so pretty Shar!

Keep on sharing. I'm loving the little peek into your world!

Lilith 09-16-2007 08:41 AM

No tripod as such....i did have to sit the camera on something though to keep it still while the camera took the pic. No timer, well that i know of *L* I just pressed the button, the flash goes off and it sits and thinks about it for a bit and then processes the photo :D

There was some light around when i took these pics....will try the total darkness thing though OF. Sounds neat

Fangtasia 09-16-2007 01:23 PM

Thanx all.....i'm really enjoying taking them, wish i just had more time to do it *L*

I'm really pleased how these came out, will take the tripod with me next time though....there were other things i'd have loved pics of, but i just couldn't keep the camera still enough and there wasnt anything i could sit it on

IowaMan 09-16-2007 02:09 PM

Those pics are great Sharni! Love 'em! :thumb:

Irezumi Kiss 09-16-2007 03:01 PM

Wish I was there right now. Ahhh, someday, when money and time meet properly. *sigh*

That gazebo looks like a great place to indulge in some naughty, hand-under-the-skirt kinda indulgings, ya think?

osuche 09-16-2007 05:52 PM

Timer takes any of the shake away, and is even more importand in low light, not dark.

PantyFanatic 09-17-2007 09:42 AM

Do those giant Australian mushrooms only come up at night?

Really great pics. Looks like your new cam is performing well for you. The close-ups in your critter thread came out very nice and now these low light look great. Good on ya. :cheerlead

gekkogecko 09-17-2007 01:08 PM

Beautiful gardens, but why are those alien spaceships being stored there?

Mae 09-18-2007 10:22 PM

gorgeous! You captured one of my faves, wisteria. I think your son was correct in suggesting you take that pic!

Lilith 09-24-2007 05:03 AM

Just curious... what does it smell like there?

LixyChick 09-24-2007 06:57 AM

OH MY WORD! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I miss spring soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!

Thank you for sharing those gorgeous pics Shar! Stunning....absolutely stunning!

Did you get there really early or really late? Doesn't seem to be many people. Which is nice...don't get me wrong. But if we had a place like that around here it'd be wall to wall peeps!

Before lunch...most of the crowds were at the Wine & Cheese festival. And we snapped the pics between people where possible, gotta be careful in the day of sue-age :rolleyes2 , specially where kids maybe nearby. There were a lot of pics i wanted to get but the traffic volume was too high. I'll go again when the terrorist (tourists) have gone home *LOL*

Oldfart 09-24-2007 04:36 PM

Magnolias, damn shame they won't grow up here.

Lilith 09-24-2007 05:36 PM

We have two types of magnolias here. We have the large traditional lemon-scented white ones with leathery leaves and the pretty pink Japanese variety which heralds in the spring with it's flowers long before the new leaf buds appear.

LixyChick 09-25-2007 07:39 AM

Ahhhhhh...Magnolia Blossoms...Yum!

Loved driving down to Fla. from Pa. and when we got to Georgia we started seeing/smelling the magnolia's.

Closest thing we have to your gardens Shar is a place called Longwood Gardens. Open year round but I haven't been there in years. You might have inspired me to make a day trip.

scotzoidman 09-25-2007 08:39 AM

"Magnolia, you sweet thang, you're drivin' me mad,
Gotta get back to you, babe, you're the best I've ever had..."
