Miss Bryleigh made her appearance on Weds June 27, 2007 at 10:20 pm. :loveshowe Born via c-section, she is a very healthy 8lbs 8oz and 20 3/4" long. The surgery went well for the most part...except the anesthesia began to wear off at the tail end of the procedure. I never actually felt any thing other than pressure, but I could feel the numbness wearing off. But the "pressure" quickly gave way to lots of PAIN! :eek: Unfortunately, since the spinal block was supposed to last 6+ hours, I couldn't have anything other than 1/2 a dose of demerol for pain--even though mine was wearing off after only an hour and a half. The demerol did NOTHING! By the time my hour in recovery was up, I could already move my legs much more than I should have been able to--and that came from one of the nurses. So, I guess, I have developed a tolerance to the pain meds/anesthesia. :baby:

yep. had the c-section on wed, came home on sat.

i'm feeling ok. still a lil' sore. things pull if i dont move carefully. especially since i had both a c/s AND had my tubes tied at the same time.

Wow! Get as much rest as you can! How is little man reacting to his baby sis?

Jaden is totally taken with her. He keeps telling everyone he sees---even random folks in Walmart---that he's got a new sister. He constantly wants to hold her and help feed her (which is kind of hard since I'm trying the whole breast feeding thing) and he helps change her and stuff too. He just has a little trouble understanding that he can't pick her up on his own and just carry her around.

Awww how sweet. Persevere with the breastfeeding - it really really really is worth it for your little one and it burns 500 calories a day! I was very successful with it, so if there's any info/advice you need, let me know. (I'm assuming by the way you say 'trying' that you didn't do it with Jaden or that you struggled with it).

I don't think posting a pic is against the rules, but some people feel uncomfortable about doing it, so it's really your call.

Pictures of children are not permitted on Pixes...due to them being minors and this being a sex site (yes i know its much more to us, family and all that, but.....)

Now that is that kind of news that is great to read after having been away for three weeks! Congratulations ShadowDancer!!!!!!!
