I miss......
 

Tell me something that you miss. Something that used to be a part of your life but is no longer. Can be anything, something very deep and personal to you or something trivial. What do you miss?


I miss having a full, thick head of hair.

I miss having more time with Boog and kiddo.

I miss having hours of carefree talks with my high school best friend... and having the time to spend hours on the phone with him.

I miss long walks at night with a cafe mocha on my hand...

I miss lie ins and being to put myself at the top of my list sometimes.

I miss the sexual naievity of the 70s.

I miss being paid to ride my Bike All Day Long

I miss my Grandad very very much. on 9th June this year it will be 3 years since he died, and there isn't a day goes by I don't think of him and wish he was still here - he was very old when he died - 91, but he went very suddenly and unexpectedly. He was sharp as anything and knew so much cool stuff. I really wish he was still here...:(

I miss my dad

I miss being head over heels in love.

I miss my discipline in eating... it never was a long lived discipline, but I miss it regardless.

I miss my little girl..........

not all the time and it's only temporary but - i miss being able to have caffeine whenever i want it in large amounts, smokes, joints, drinks (the adult kind), nitrates, not falling asleep on the couch before 9pm, normal hormone levels (and all that that implies :p), and painless orgasms.
not necessarily in that order, either :D

i'm not feeling sorry for myself, just whiney:p:p

I don't linger on it too long, or my life will pass me by while waiting for it to happen.

But I miss summer vacations spent outside on a bicycle all day long. I miss being home just to sleep, and being told "Come home for dinner once in awhile, so we know you're still alive."

I miss knowing it's hot outside but not really feeling uncomfortable.

I miss walking down to the railroad trestle with a bow & arrow, determined to shoot me a fish...and damn near catching a friend instead.

I miss the thrill I got when I found a dirty magazine.

I miss sneaking beer out of my father's stock, and how much easier it became once I discovered that beercans fit into tennis ball tubes. :D

I miss my grandparents. Especially my grandfather.

I miss that day my cousin and I spent all day building airplanes out of wood & roofing nails...and how upset we were when we saw they didn't fly...and how quickly the disappointment was replaced when we saw how awesome they crashed!

As odd as it sounds, unless you've been there, I miss things I've never had.

I miss being the master of Windows 3.1 :p

I miss my first true love...and my third.

And I miss Pixies when I'm not here.

Inspired by WI's post....a longer list:

- I miss kissing strangers and the butterflies from a first kiss
- I miss sensual sex
- I miss living in Europe and all the fun that came from living far away from all my commitments
- I miss being sharp mentally every single day - and I hope I can get this back ASAP
- I miss my 18 year old body, although I love my 30 year old mind
- I miss my Ohio-sized mortgage
- I miss playing in a jazz band
- I miss my dad, my step father, and my great grandparents...I didn't get enough time with any of them

I miss:
- clean beaches of my childhood in California
- Aspen, Colorado...before the snobs
- my great Aunt Dot...she was a terrific lady
- a simpler life

I miss being a young boy and showing off for the girl I had a crush on.

The ocean, the lakes, trees and other assorted shrubbery.

I miss showing up at the office on Friday mornings. Especially the Friday before Mother's Day. Loved bringing in little gifts and flowers for the ladies who worked for me.

The feel of a really great kiss.

I miss shopping with my sister. I also miss partying with her. What a crazy drunk that woman is. :D

I miss being able to gorge myself on wonderful carbs like pizza, mac-n-cheese, and cake!!

I miss my daughter being little and sitting in my lap where mommy could make it all better.

I miss watching ABC soaps everyday.

I'm a horrible dancer but I really miss having somebody to dance with.

I miss the wild Sunday afternoon sex sessions I used to have with one of my former girlfriends.

My younger self.

...normal hours...

I miss underwired bras and a stretch mark free tummy. :(

I miss the days when my wife and I first got married and we sometimes split a can of soup at week's end because we couldn't really afford a whole meal. (And we didn't think of ourselves as being poor ... just happy to be together.)

I miss being in love.

My living room floor - currently can't see it for junk and general untidiness!

The days when I could say that I'd never hit a deer with my car.

My young children.

I miss road business trips with my dad's dad when I was a child
I miss sleeping over at my mom's parent's house
I miss lunches with my other grandfather
I miss friends who live far away who I don't get to see often enough

and on and on...

I miss going to lunch with a guy that I used to work with and watching him laugh at the stupid crap I would say or do just to see if I could embarrass him.

the days when 4 months gone didn't look more like 7.

I miss when I don't aim carefully.

I miss....beer.
