March Madness!
 

So I know that I can't be the only one mad about March! :)
As I'm leaving in the morning to cheer on my Great Danes in the first round in Columbus, I was wondering...

Do you follow college basketball? Or at least the NCAA tournament?
If so, who are you rooting for? Do you have a team or just cheer for the underdogs?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Go Buckeyes all the way. I've been a Buckeye fan my whole life and I live in Ohio near Cedar Point so I'm not just jumping on the band wagon. Go Bucks

I don't really have a team in the dance this year so it may not be as fun to watch for me as usual. My bracket ends up with Florida, UCLA, Ohio St. and Georgetown in the Final with Ohio St. beating the Bruins in the title game. Probably just a waste of $10 for me but who knows? :shrug:

I have a bunch of different brackets... but most of them have Kansas or Florida on top. I think I even went on a limb with G-town in one of them :)

I've got Texas A&M bringin it home, but Stanford could fuck it all for me.

Well my team (Illinois) probably won't go far, so I will just have to root for the rest of the Big 10.

Guess I won't have to worry about Stanford, huh?

And I must say...there's something very wrong about hearing a French woman talking about how sexy an Old Spice man is. ha ha

I'm screwed, only got 13 of the 16 games right yesterday. I guess I'm luck that I only had the Dukies winning one more game.

So far I'm first in the pool I entered through a message board. That one I think is for a Safehouse t-shirt. I'm second in one of the work pools I entered, first place in that one pays out near $200 with prizes for up to fifth. I don't know where I stand in the other pool I entered at work.

Not sure where I'm at in the one I've entered. I only got 25 of the first 32 games correct and I've already lost out on 2 of the Sweet 16 spots. All of my Elite 8 and Final 4 teams are still going though.

I've got a feeling that today is the day my bracket completely falls apart. :yikes:

Turns out I'm in better shape with my bracket than I thought. There are only 56 people in the pool in which I'm entered and through the first two rounds I'm in second place, one point behind the leader. I've only got 12 of the Sweet 16 teams left but all of my Elite 8 and Final 4 picks are still alive. I've still got a shot. :nana:

I'm first of 44 and the possibility of the most points of the teams remaining.

I'm doing pretty well in my bracket - my Danes, however, are not. The boys apologize to anyone who watched the game. :)

Wow- the end to the G-town/Vandy game was the best one that I've seen all Dance.
Better than OSU/Xavier when I was jumping up and down cheering for Xavier in my hotel bar in Columbus. :x

But question - Jim Nantz was saying that there was a foul on the last shot because the shooter lifted his pivot foot before he took a shot. I thought that you could change your pivot foot? He had his other foot planted... was it really a travel?

The non-call on the last shot was sort of "iffy" but.......... I had Georgetown winning so I thought it all worked out well. :D

I haven't seen the latest update for the pool I'm in but I think I can be no worse than 3rd place right now. I've got 7 of the Elite 8 teams correct and all of my Final 4 are still alive. I've got a definite shot at winning something this time around. :wish:

I'm glad someone's doing well:) I had G-Town, too, so it worked out. Unfortunately, I had Pitt. :(

At least UNC and Florida pulled it out for me yesterday.

I found out last night that had Oregon been able to knock off Florida that I would've already clinched first place. :(

I can wrap it up on Saturday if both Ohio St. and UCLA win but I'm not counting on it. I've been way too lucky lately. I've got 11 of the last 12 games right and I'm not sure how the hell I managed to do it.

LOL I find it ionic and funny myself. The people who are doing the pools think they are suckering somebody who dosen't have a chance of winning into forking over some cash and fatting the pool up and then they win. one year a girl I worked with won 2 pools (winning just under $1000) and all she knew about basket ball was that you put the ball in the hoop. All she had done was look at a March madness artiicle that had come out in the paper. Her boyfriend had laughed at her for filling them both out the same telling her she was just wasting her money.

It's down to two, osuche and Lilith.

Not exactly sure where I stand in my pool now. I know the very worst I can be is in first place by a single point. I've got Ohio St. winning it all so if they can pull it out Monday I'd be the winner. I think there is a scenario that if Florida wins I will end up tied and it will come down to the total pts. tie breaker. I have 144 pts. for my guess. Sort of on pins and needles this time around. Any chance you can conjur up some alumni magic and help me out with this one osuche? I promise I'd share my winnings. :nod:

I can't stand watching that Noah kid from Florida play, sort of freaks me out. He reminds of a the girl I took to prom my senior year of high school. Her teeth were better and she was much prettier but there is a strong resemblance. :yikes:

We were in Gainesville the day of the last OSU-Florida basketball game (potential college visit) and counted a good number of Scarlet and Grey fans on campus. Unfortunately, that one was before Oden recovered his game.

This time around, I think we should see a real contest. Hopefully, the Buck's can top the Gators!

Got it confirmed for me last night. If Ohio State wins tonight I get the $350 for first place. If Florida wins, I still win the $350 as long as the total number of points scored in the game is at least 137. If not, then I only win $130.
