What ever happend to....???
Sorry to interupt your regular scheduled programming....
laundry today.. followed directions... delicate>cold water>no bleach, > dry on air, etc.... and I STILL HAVE TO IRON!!!!!!!!!!!!! What happened to just wash, dry and hang up? Back to regular programming.... |
polyester. It got a bad name. While I love breathable fabrics I hate ironing.
|
I hate to iron too.
I think our dryer is messed up. :( Dries way to hot even in just the air dry. I do, however, like this new spray starch Cobalt just bought for me. Smells nice. :) |
Mr. Lil bought me a sexy Rowenta iron to try to chill me out but I still hate it. I find myself buying less than sexy clothes because they are no iron things.
|
If I find clothes I like, I look at that dreaded tag that PF takes exception to. If it tells me cool iron, iron, or 100% cotton I put it back. I dont' know why I do, the blends still need to be ironed.. lol. I was looking at those steamers that clothing stores use. Those look like a pain in the ass. I have workmates that take their clothes to the dry cleaner. I can't afford that. So I iron.. :(
I didn't know that irons could look sexy.. rofl |
It doesn't look sexy it just puts out tons of steam.
|
I live for my poly blend pants. I can't stand ironing pants because somehow if I have to iron them, they are wrinkled within 5 minutes of wearing them anyway.
Now that it's getting cooler I'm finding more wool blend tops in my wash and they all say dry flat. I hate having sweater racks scattered about! |

Maybe that is what I need.... steam = sexy... lol!!!! My iron is so old the steamer doesn't work right on it, or I don't have the distilled water to put in it.. :( Oh well, I iron a shirt, take a Pixie's break, iron a shirt.... lol Maddy - I don't ever have trouble with my slacks.. just my shirts! I have found that if I get a pair out that are slighty wrinkled, I can put them in my dryer with a slightly damp cloth and the wrinkels are gone.. |
Rowentas use tap water :D
|
my solution is i don't iron. :p
|
I hate ironing....have you tried that "Wrinkle Release" stuff.......omg it's the best stuff....spray it on and tug at the clothing and the wrinkles are gone!
|
I just wear wrinkled clothes it seems to work for me.
|
We sell wrinkle release.................. I used to have an iron, I left in back in SD cause I never used it and it got yucky. Boog has an iron, I saw him use it once. :D
|
I hate ironing!!! For minor wrinkles I usually just hang the item right outside the shower when I'm in there... usually it works!
|
My solution: damp rag and the wrinkled item in the dryer for 10 minutes. Does the trick every time!

Don't know anything about hanging clothes OUTside the shower, but put me IN the shower with you and I'm sure something would straighten out. :D |
Why iron, you just get in your car and sit down and it is all wrinkled again. So it looks good to you for 10 mins., is it worth the time and trouble.
:roflmao: |
I don't ever have trouble with my slacks.. just my shirts!
Solve the problem by going topless :boobs: no ironining needed ! |
I love to iron!
I get such a thrill out of having stuff pressed, that I am an ironing fool. Literally! :D And as for the other wrinkles...I've got no problem getting those to disappear. ;) |
I iron every week. Usually takes me about an hour to two depending on what has been worn that week. I find it terribly therapeutic to take a basket of wrinkled clothes and make them all pressed, creased and hanging pretty.
I do adore that Wrinkle Release stuff though. Works like a dream on my tiered cotton skirts, which I do hate ironing. Cheyenne, please tell me what starch you are using that smells good. I usually use Magic Sizing on out clothes. |
This thread might have revealed an actual bonus for visiting the laundromat ~ the washers & dryers are really good.
