It looks probable that the 'little wriggler' is a boy!

She couldn't be certain since the little scamp was very wriggly and wouldn't let us have a good look, but she said she was about 75% sure she saw 'boy bits'!!!!

I know I said I'd love it to be a girl, but when she said boy, I wasn't surprised and instead I was just happy to think of him as a proper little person, not just an it.

We're going to have a snazzy 4D scan later on and that will probably show us for absolute definite, but in the meantime we're working on the assumption that it's going to be a mini-Fussy!!!!

Congrats, Lou & Fussy. As I said when asked if there was any specific gender I wanted - so long as s/he has the requisite bits and pieces and HEALTH, it don't matter a damn!! Good on yer girl!!

Congratulations darlin'...I have two boys myself and happen to think they are wonderful! Like the rest said..as long as he/she is healthy that is really all that matters ..... So MOM, any ideas on names yet? "hugs"

Yea! Congrats you two! I was the same way.. I wanted a little girl. But fate delt me a boy and now I wonder what the hell I was thinking. I'm a boy Mom.. and he's my pride and joy. Just invest in bubble wrap!!!! :wobbly:

Sorry about the long absence folks...the day after I posted this our internet went down (turned out to be a problem with our modem - we think it got blasted in a power surge during an electrical storm).

Anyway, we're back now and I just wanted to say thanks for all the kind thoughts. We're having our 4D scan this Saturday so I'll post some pictures when we have them - can't believe we're actually going to be able to see our baby's face!

How far along are you now?

23 weeks this Wednesday. A little bit early for the 4D scan (they usually suggest doing it at about 27 weeks because the baby has more fat then, but I wanted to have it done before I go visit my sister and cousins so that they can see the pictures and DVD too.

I recently saw a scan like that. So cool. I can't wait to see him Lou.

How's Fussy relating to whats happening to you? Some guys feel a bit detached from everything till the day of the baby's birth. Some guys exhibit "pregnancy" symptoms themselves (cravings, twinges, etc.).

Just curious how it's going for you and him.

I'm feeling a lot better, thanks Lixy. I'm just about over the sickness and my energy levels are much higher than they were for the first few months.

A couple of weeks ago I felt the first proper kick and since then he's been like a little acrobat in there. It's so reassuring to be able to feel that he's ok, even though I'm not used to it yet and it kind of catches me by surprise each time he does it.

I think Fussy is coping well with it all. He's been very involved - been to each antenatal appointment with me, talks to the baby through my tummy and tries to watch out for it twitching when he kicks me. Only trouble is, everytime Fussy's watching, baby stops kicking! He has reported a lot more heartburn than he usually gets, but neither of us are craving anything at the moment.

We're decorating the nursery together this week, and that's helping us to feel like it's more real. It's been good that there's been so much practical stuff we've needed to do, as I think this has given him a focus. I definitely think he's connected to the baby, but I'm not sure either of us have fully grasped how much this is going to change our lives.

Just wishing this week away, so I can get to the scan on Saturday morning!

Hello everyone! Yup it's me!

I'm coping really well with the whole being pregnant thing..............err I mean with the whole lou being preggers thing :)
It's great being the guy I just have to sit back and ignore all the moaning about pains here n hearburn there n oooo look at how swollen my ankles are! I just avoid the bathroom while lou is busy saying hello to breakfast, and fecth n carry when ordered to :D

not much happening on the cravings front..........except for when I just saw Lixy's AV! hehehe I can still say that right? ;)
