Teddy update
 

Unfortunately Teddy is back in the hospital with continuing lymphedema complications. She seems to be making progress since she was admitted Saturday night, but it looks like she will be there past Christmas. For more info, feel free to PM either me or Pantyfanatic.

I've had occasion to be in hosptal at Christmastime, and no matter HOW hard the staff try to make it so, it's just nothing like being in your own home!

Teddy is improving...to the point where they were planning to discharge her from the hospital today, but then she developed an allergic reaction to the antibiotic they were using to combat the infection. So they now have to find another antibiotic that will successfully work before she can leave the hospital.

Her spirits are good...being the Teddy we know that handles adversity better than most of us do the best of times. She very much appreciates the good wishes of her Pixies friends.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I look forward to her safe return home!

Hi Pixie friends/family,

You guys are great! Thank you for all the get well thoughts and prayers! Rockin and PF managed to keep my spirits up and kept me informed of Pixie happenings. Thanks to you both!!!

I am home now, was released Fri, Dec. 23 around 4pm. Ran a 103 temp for two days while the infection in left leg ran wild. Finally brought under control only to have a full body allergic rash develope. One adventure after another. So now I'm back in 'bed-jail' 24/7, feet elevated above my heart and am being closely monitored by visiting nurses.

Thanks again for thinking of me.

Well, that explains why you don't answer when i knock on your Yahoo door. We are all thinking of you wishing you well. Robin and Lorri don't come to pixies anymore but they always ask about you, so I'll relay the info on to them. We luv you and you're going to beat this thing.

THANK YOU so much for all your care and concern!! :D

Progressing slowly, but at least progressing!! Still in 'bed-jail' 24/7 with visiting nurses and weekly visits to the doctors. And for those who mentioned it, no male visiting nurses, darn it !! There were 2 male nurses in the hospital. One was mmmmm yummy, the other was... well lets just say he was a good nurse. ;)

I have the TV programming memorized, just finished an Oprah Book Club book and am now starting a 'historical romance', in other words a smut book with a few history blubs thrown in. lol. My mother-in-law got me a lap top that I now have next to my bed, so I'll try to be here a little more. I haven't gotten used to reading the screen laying on my side yet and my eyes go all googoo. But I'll adjust. :) I miss you guys!!

I don't handle it all that well and have held several pity-parties where crying is the main event. But they're usually short parties and life goes on. "Life may not be the party you hoped for but while your here you might as well dance." I'm dancing!! :D And I hope all of you are too. :)
