OMFG! They got you before you even got here. <--- *Walks away remember the source of the Magna Carta as the foundation of the convoluted, abused and misused laws, shaking head and knowing he should have guessed.* |
PantyFanatic,
Is the Magna Carta the document which states "No freemen shall be taken or imprisoned ... or in any way destroyed, ... except by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land. To no one will we sell, to no one will we refuse or delay, right or justice." ? |
Welcome to the Colonies! The dress is lovely
|
WELCOME Glad to see you're going to be here. Always nice to see good people come to our shores. :) |
i'll ask that you forgive me now for this......but i have been positively DYING to say this.............................
"The British are coming!!! The British are coming!!!" ......and i am one American that is happy to be "invaded"! Oy! I am a rotten one, aren't i? I can't help it though, I am SOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!! |
lizzardbits,
You have every right to be excited! :D Enjoy every second of it! |
Let’s see? Is that 4 if it flys and 1 if it lands? Or was that 2 if by sea (unless it’s a submarine, in which case it’s 3)?
* remembers they have a barrister involved…. Turns out ALL the lights and goes to bed for a loooooong time.* |

Update Jan 20th 2006
Ok guys n gals,
Here is the first update. After much tearing up of houses both here and in the US we have finally got together all the paperwork that the lawyers need. They should have that information by now and will be sending them off the USCIS shortly. More as and when it happens |
mayhem1978,
Yea! :) Good for you - both of you! |
Great news!!
|
Kudos for going through reams of paperwork for love and sex!
Mushballs times infinity! :D |
To infinity and beyond!!!!!!!!!
|
Whew! After getting my taxes, back taxes, our co-sponsor's taxes, all necessary papers from my colleges, co-sponsor's job and bank papers, and signing forms, and getting copies of signed forms, I was FINALLY able to send off the last package to Mayhem's and my lawyers.
now the lawyers process it, recheck that all pertinent information is indeed there, and send off documents to my local USCIS office. approximate waiting time is 90-120 days for processing. right now (whew) the average wait for processing is 55 days. Basically hoop number 0ne thousand four hundred twenty-seven has been lept through, we just now have another three thousand hoops to go! Oh, yes I had to take the hard way, and boy i tell you, My hottie fiance' is sooooo worth it! :D (where's the damn cupid smilie when you need it!) |
Everything in triplicate, dot all your 'i's, cross all your 't's, chin hair from a troll, toe nail from a.... oh no wait, thats something else.... never mind.
*blows Mayhem and Lizz good luck kisses* :) |

Update #3 24th April 2004
YAY
WHOOT WHOOT YAY YAY After much paperwork the petition has finally been sent to the USCIS processing center in Lincoln, Nebraska. Now we wait for the gov to decided.. But still great news for us, we are one step closer to our dream of being together. YAY |
Uhm, Mayhem... *looks left, looks right, then leans in and whispers*
It's 2006. |
Dang those pesky time zones.

LMAO^^^ well we all know that he ment 2006, and i know that although very excited when he wrote it, he was very very tired. It was excellent when we got it, as we were both voice chatting and i was just about to leave and go take care of some mother type tasks when he said to wait. We checked our email at the same time and read the news at the same time. I think that we ended up deafening each other there for a moment as we hollered and cheered in jubilation! I am grinning ear to ear. now it is another game of "Hurry up and Wait" but this is a huge hoop that we have gone through now! |
Good for both of you!
|
Progress is good.
|
here's to hoping the govn't decides quickly! 'grats!

I can appreciate how just getting thru "the hoop" is a big deal, but I also know that waiting on beauracracy to make a decision is like waiting for paint to dry... ...on a cold day... ...with 100% humidity... ...& a lack of drying agents in the mix... |
whoops.
Yeah a combination of excitement and being v v v tired leads to lots of typos... Ah well you all knew what i meant anyways :D Very happy YAY |
(((((Lizz & Mayhem)))))
My best wishes for a speedy okie dokie from the powers that hold the hoops! |

For the two of you ... our very best wishes ...
|
Do you know how slooooooooow things get done in Lincoln , Nebraska???
It would have been quicker for Mayhem to fly to Mexico and walk across the border!!! |
WOOO WHOOOO
I'm so happy for you guys!!! Not much longer now! |
Dicksbro~ that brought tears to my eyes, thank you so very very very much!
Coaster~ Actually out of the processing centers around the US, Lincoln is one of the faster ones. As of today the average processing for the Lincoln center for our lawyers' cases is 58.30 days. Alas, there won't be a June wedding like I wanted (I wanted to get married before June 29th, my 30th b-day) Perhaps a nice fall wedding when it isn't too hot and humid. Thank you All for your love and support, and keep keepin' you fingers crossed for us :D |
