What's the stupidest reason you've broken up with someone?

I saw this on another board and thought it would work here, too.

There were two guys interested in me in the past year but both of them would call and leave a message and mark it "urgent". Once I heard the "urgent" mark, I never called them back. :D I thought they were a bit too egotistical or needy or both so I disappeared.

Someone I know broke up with a guy because he wore a Speedo to the beach. :D

Anyone else?

Aqua 06-01-2005 05:42 PM

I think I could answer this better if it were 'Stupidest reason you didn't break up when you should have'. :p

I don't think I ever broke up with someone for a silly reason.

AngelicVampires 06-01-2005 05:53 PM

I'm with you on that Aqua

Lilith 06-01-2005 06:42 PM

I didn't go on a second date once because of flip flops and ugly feet.

cowgirltease 06-01-2005 06:43 PM

Well it's not stupid . The only reason I have ever broken up with someone is because of abuse or not paying their fair share. l'm not their mama and I'm not their punching bag either. Otherwise I don't get involved. Why should I? I'm a big girl with a damn good job. :rolleyes2
I don't HAVE to have a man. I have boytoys. :D

Speedos? He better be on the Olympic swim team is all I gotta say. :D

WildIrish 06-01-2005 06:55 PM

I've got to think about this one for awhile. I mean, the reasons weren't stupid to me.

Fangtasia 06-01-2005 07:29 PM

Dont think i've ever done it personally

rabbit 06-01-2005 07:41 PM

I once broke up with a sweet woman because my friend didn't like her.

Galatea 06-01-2005 07:50 PM

um....*turns red but continues* because he insisted on calling me his "his little pooh bear" weeks after an unfortunate anal experience.....*runs and hides now*

BIBI 06-01-2005 07:55 PM

Can't say I have ever had a stupid reason for breaking up with anyone.

osuche 06-01-2005 10:31 PM

'Cause he was a sloppy kisser. But it's not right...going through an entire relationship DREADING the moment when they'll want to kiss you. :D

lazaruslong 06-02-2005 01:04 AM

Well, I haven't had much experience breaking up with anyone, but heres one that a gal used on me.

Had a great thing going and a very active sex life. Then all of a sudden she turned cold and wouldnt answer my calls. Finally I got through to her and she told me she didnt wanna see me no more cause I made her cum too hard/often.

Go figure.

nicole2309 06-02-2005 02:01 AM

The stupidest hands down was because he was too nice to me.

Loulabelle 06-02-2005 02:05 AM

Galatea - I think you were amazing to stay that long!!!!!! He sounds like a complete arsehole!

lazaruslong - Now that IS a stupid reason to break up! Some women just don't know when they're on to a good thing.

As for me, I was dumped once and I still don't know the reason why....I have a feeling it was because he wanted to sleep with me, but was nervous about taking my virginity. I guess I'll never know....

cherrypie7788 06-02-2005 03:16 PM

Halitosis. I'm not talking about a little bad breath, either, I'm talking about horrible, full blown chronic dragon breath. It didn't matter how many times a day he brushed, how often he rinsed with listerine, or how many pieces of gum I fed him. It was just awful.

He was very sweet and extremely good looking, but damn...I couldn't handle it.

One of my faves from the other site:

My brother broke up with a girl because he didn't want to go get a playstation controller accross the street. My friend didn't like the girl and they were arguing who should go to his house to get the controller. So he goes fine, I'll go get the controller if you break up with ______. My brother goes fine, get me the phone. Made the call, dude went and got the controller.

PantyFanatic 06-03-2005 12:50 AM

Because she says "aboot".

My stupidest was to dump a boy a year younger then me. I was in 10th he was still over at the middle school across the street in 9th. So, I could go out with a football player and be with the popular kids like my best friend thought I should. The guy was a horrible jerk and I ended up really hurting the sweetest boy ever and being cussed up and down by his mother.

This girl should consider hiring a matchmaker in the future:

Some of my highlights include:

- I decided to stop dating a dude I'd crushed on for some time after the first date: He twisted his food to look like a vagina during dinner, and proceeded to do obscene things to it. With his fingers. In the middle of the restaurant. On our first date.

- Nixed one relationship with a boy who explained (several months into our relationship) that his breast-implanted "friend" who was always leaving him messages "just to chat", and with whom he'd previously had a sex-only "relationship" with was "Really, really hot. She can get ANY guy she wants. Guys love her. She's, like, really, really hot -- and if I wanted to be with someone like that, I could and would. But I'm not."

:| Ooooooooooooookie dokie - see you later.

But the special achievement award goes to the hypochondriac lawyer I dated:

- Stands me up before an important dinner party without a phone call or explanation. Does not arrive for full long-weekend of activities we had planned. When I finally hear from him, he is ranting with livid accusations that I had given him herpes and he just doesn't know how he will go on with his life. He is violently mad.

Me: But I don't have herpes.

Him: Yes you do! And you've given them to ME!

Me: I think you should go see a doctor.

Him (two days later): Um, so, uh, yeah... you're right. The doctor says it's a heat rash.

He attempted to apologize profusely, but I couldn't seem to erase the ranting herpes accusations from my traumatized mind, and was already running away in terror.

Add this one to the list:

Guy takes me out to a movie, we walk through the mall for about an hour before, and he asks another girl for her number while I'm standing right there beside him with no way to leave because I was with him in his car!!

When the movie was finally over and he drove me back to my car, he tried to give me a kiss right on the lips, but I dodged and he kissed my jaw instead, then I got out of his car without saying goodbye and drove away. 10 minutes later he called my cell and wanted to know why I wouldn't kiss him and why I didn't stay around to "talk". Moronic jerk!!

cherrypie7788 06-05-2005 04:28 PM

OMG!
I think I would have had to stuff his head into his plate and told him to grow up and walk out on that one.

Dubblz 06-05-2005 04:58 PM

Actually, there is a "tribute" song of The Floyd doing Stairway. They do a damned good job too.
