Crazier Than I Am

Today I found out I’m getting an early Christmas “pressie” from my kids. :) Friday night is going to be guys night out to see George Carlin live, with my son and son-outlaw. :jump:

I think they really just want me to get some new material. ;)

Sounds like a hoot...I love his humor! Get real close so some DOES rub off on you! LOL!

And...your son by marriage is an outlaw?

Cool. Let us know what you learn. :D

Oldfart 12-07-2004 09:13 AM

That's right, PF.

Rub in the fact that you get world class comedy on your door-step.

All we get here is world class weather and lot of gorgeous German back-packers.

dreamgurl 12-07-2004 11:59 AM

Oh good, then I still have something unique to give you. But I don't know what you would like better ........

All this time I thought he was your brother! :D
Ohhhhhhhh I am soooooooooooo jealous!
Hope you have a wonderful time! :)

PantyFanatic 12-11-2004 09:19 AM

I miss Steph

I wanted something to have my mind totally weirded out :dizzy: before I went to Carlins’ show, but he made it work anyway. ;)

The man has not lost it in any way. :D He still is one person that really DOES leave you laughing as much after the show as you did at it. He did a bit he calls The Modern Man that he says will be in his HBO special next November. I know he was tweaking it up on the audience, but whatever the finished product is next year, ……..catch it. ;)

My boys and I stopped at a pub thinking we would reflect on what we had just enjoyed, only to find we couldn’t say much more than a line before your head and the laughing was off to something else he made you think about. One issue with seeing him live is that you get SO much more material in an hour +, that it’s hard to think through a single idea. …… or maybe we just stay at the pub too long. :) LMAO

While being much more contemporary than cerebral, even the opener with Dennis Blair, was very good. I'm very please with my early Christmas present. :D

Steph 12-11-2004 11:55 AM

What does missing me have to do with Carlin, tard?

I thought you would have taped the whole thing for us fans. Then again, if you had to transcribe two minutes, let alone an hour, the typos would cause Carlin to be lost in translation.

I don't know how you got such wonderful kids but I'm assuming they take after the ex.

:sex:

LixyChick 12-12-2004 09:55 AM

I miss Steph too...

But that post ^^^ helped a bit! LMFAO!

Glad you had a good time PF! Can't wait for the special. Oh wait...I don't have HBO. Maybe I can sneak it onto my X-mas list! :)

*picturing PF drinking coffee at the pub*

*giggle*

Now those are words that every guy would like to hear. :D

Saw George Carlin live a few years ago (a few? well not more than 10) and he was FANTASTIC! Glad to hear that he continues to be at the top of his game.

Sure glad you and your son(s) were able to attend together...had to be a special treat!

PantyFanatic 07-21-2005 12:57 AM

An update of a few mind-mumbles from Carlin. My son-outlaw sent me some current mutterings that I can’t find a lot to disagree with. :) LOL

COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that our government can track a cow born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington, and they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give them all a cow.

CONSTITUTION
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it's worked for over 200 years and we're not using it anymore.

TEN COMMANDMENTS
The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a Courthouse?
You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal," "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery" and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians...It creates a hostile work environment.

And Last but not least.....
George Carlin said it best about Martha Stewart ..
"Boy, I feel a lot safer now that she's behind bars. O.J. Simpson and Kobe Bryant are still walking around; Osama Bin Laden too, but they take the one woman in America willing to cook, clean, and work in the yard, and haul her ass off to jail."

dicksbro 07-21-2005 02:45 AM

I'm always encouraged by our legal system ...

these are real lawyer quotes (and some replies) during court sessions ...

1) Was that the same nose you broke as a child?
2) Now, doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, in most cases he just passes quietly away and doesn't know anything about it until the next morning?
3) What happened then?
He told me, he says, "I have to kill you because you can identify me."
Did he kill you?
4) Was it you or your brother that was killed in the war?
5) The youngest son, the 20-year-old, how old is he?
6) Were you alone or by yourself?
7) What is the meaning of sperm being present?
It indicates intercourse.
Male sperm?
That is the only kind I know.
8) Can you describe the individual?
He was about medium height and had a beard.
Was this a male or female?
9) How long have you been a French Canadian?
10) How far apart were the vehicles at the time of collision?
11) Mr. Clark, you went on a rather elaborate honeymoon, didn't you?
I went to Europe, sir.
And did you take your new wife?
12) Do you have any children or anything of that kind?
13) I show you Exhibit 3 and ask you if you recognize that picture.
That's me.
Were you present when that picture was taken?

PantyFanatic 07-21-2005 05:14 AM

LMAO ^^^

It's only the 99% that give the rest a bad name.

bare4you 07-21-2005 05:50 PM

George Carlin is a classic. Have fun.

Steph 07-26-2005 11:23 AM
