Asked me to tell everyone that he is fine and not to worry. His house was broken into two weeks ago, and his computer and several other things were stolen. He is in the process of filing an insurance claim, and getting his things replaced. In the interim, he doesn't have computer access.

An excerpt from an IM:
"I met with my insurance broker this week. I also had two firms by to give me a quote on replacing my back door. The sad thing is the police said that a steel door would not slow down the crooks much?? I have been pricing out what was stolen. I think it will be a few weeks before I get back on-line. As bad as it is, I'm glad I did not come home while they were still in the house. Stuff can be replaced.

If you happen to be in chat, let the usual group know that I'm still alive and will be back as soon as I get a computer. Unfortunatly I only know 1 person that has yahoo, and I can not log on to Pixies from work. "

Well, that sucks. I'm really glad he's OK.

Thanks for the info on campingboy...that's a bummer but glad he's ok. Hopefully his insurance company acts fast so he can get a new computer and rejoin chat soon.

Well that sucks royally and I know just how he feels due to the same thing happening to me in May.....still trying to get the damn insurance company to pay out. Seems they would like the receipts of my grandmother's cameo brooch and braclet. She got married in them in 1919. Tell him I hope his settlement is speedier than mine! :)

Good evening everyone. Thanks for all your concern and good wishes. My door is sealed until it warms up a bit (around May), and I picked up my new computer yesterday. There are still a few things that I need to replace, but I'm waiting until after the christmas rush - have you been in the stores lately????

It was a drag being broken into, but I was not around so I'm ok, and everything they stole can be replaced.

Once again, thanks for all your warm wishs and thought. I missed this place.
