Today is the first day of the rest of my life
 

As a single woman. My divorce is final and I'm going to take it one day at a time. I'm going to make "ME" happy for once. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I'm ready to go on.
Just had to share that with you guys. Thanks to all of you who have been so supportive of me. Been there when I needed you and helped me through the really rough times. I love you. :)

I am sorry for you in that you had to go through a divorce. No one I hope ever marries with the expectation it will end in divorce. And I am too familiar with the saga of going through a divorce and have some idea what you might have endured--again for that I am profoundly sorry.

Yet I am happy for you that you are free to discover yourself. So often we lose ourselves when we get married. Myself I was the hardworking fool that eventually forgot how to laugh--and now am enjoying life, being litteraly a Vulcan (God of the Forge) making things that I've always wanted to. Now you have the time to discover what it is you desire in life.

Thank you Vullkan. No, When I married I thought it was for the rest of my life. He changed. We changed and the relationship got very absuive. I think my daughter has suffered the most and I am so sorry she had to witness this. It really should have happened sooner for her sake but I just couldn't. I too, am one of those hard workers who feels like I have to get many things accomplished before I die and I forget to enjoy life as it passes by.
All I truly desire is happiness. I know it doesn't come from money. I have everything I could ever want or need. I'm just not sure what it will take to make me truly happy. Who knows.

yep, She now has night terrors and panic attacks. To those of you who are staying in your relationships because of the kids...... I beg you NOT to! I learned the hard way what damage can be done to a child as young as 2 years old. You don't think they can't remember? OH YES THEY DO!

Find someone who can live with your hours being a firefighter or find a different profession.

Congratulations on getting the big D finalized. Just remember "That which does not kill us only makes us stronger".

That's just it. It damn near did 2 years ago. I hate to say it but it doesn't make me stronger. It only just makes me very tired and bitter now seeing what he put me through. I'm getting too old to put up with immaturity and I won't hesitate now to stop it. Like I said before life's too short. Either get on or get the hell out of the way. ;)
