GAS prices in your area

1.94.9 today for 87 oct.

Mercury_Maniac 05-17-2004 10:45 PM

gas went up to 2.10 today for 87 octane

flutelady 05-17-2004 10:52 PM

Try $2.26 for the "cheap stuff"... unreal

Vigil 05-17-2004 11:13 PM

Try over $5.50 in the UK.

Oil is a commodity like any other in a global market - there are problems with supply and increased demand from China and the US for the summer months.

BIGbad 05-17-2004 11:29 PM

$1.99 today in the northeast

Nice Guy 05-17-2004 11:51 PM

2.21 is the cheapest around here. Goes up about 4 cents a week.

peck 05-18-2004 05:20 AM

naughtyangel 05-18-2004 05:38 AM

(sorry, I'm mathematically challenged, so I can't give all you Americans a conversion!)

Oldfart 05-18-2004 05:52 AM

$AU1.06.9/Litre yesterday for Lead Replacement Super.

About $US3.20 per US Gallon.

Lilith 05-18-2004 06:59 AM

$2.03

Our brilliant state government has decided for the month of August to decrease our gas tax by.08 cents. That would be all well and good except that the gas companies are not going to lower their prices the whole .08 cents and the $$ will go directly to the oil companies and not the consumers.

Gilly 05-18-2004 06:59 AM

It was 2.07 yesterday, last week for about 4 hours, it spiked to 2.19, and went right back down to 2.07. On the news last night, they showed prices through out the year, and said that since Jan 1st, it's spiked a total of $.52 (not counting in last weeks brief spike)

Lilith 05-18-2004 07:04 AM

Aqua and I were discussing this and he showed me a graph that showed the oil prices since 1947. From 1979-1986 the price of oil was unbelievably high. I'll be curious to see these next few years on the graph to see if the price is actually that high or if we are just being gouged.

osuche 05-18-2004 08:11 AM

$2.29 for the 93 octane. Yikes!

scotzoidman 05-18-2004 08:44 AM

For those on the metric, roughly 4 litres/liters to a gallon...just multiply by 4

denny 05-18-2004 10:03 AM

huntersgirl 05-18-2004 10:57 AM

That's just in my immediate area...it's higher as you get less rural. The highest I've seen so far is $2.14 for the cheapy fuel.

BIBI 05-20-2004 07:54 AM

91.4 per litre......

Superfreak 05-20-2004 08:40 AM

Yeah, Bibi, you must be laughing your ass off at all of us whiny Yankee's bitching about the high cost of gas. I vacation in Nova Scotia ever year and prices have be hovering around $ .90 / liter for years it seems.

Considering that 1 US Gallon = 3.785 liters, you paying $ 3.45 a gallon!!!

Please tell all of us south of the border to shut the fuck up and stop buying Hummers, Navigators and F-350's. Why do we think that we can consume outrageous amounts of fuel and at the same time be entitled to prices near $ 1.50 /galllon? Makes no sense.

Personally, I love owning a car that gets 30+ MPG. I laugh to myself everytime I see someone at the gas station topping off their tank for $ 60 or more.

Scarecrow 05-20-2004 03:35 PM

Jumped up to $2.06 for 87 octane today

Sharni 05-20-2004 06:08 PM

92.9 cents/litre for unleaded petrol

imalikalotapuss 05-21-2004 08:11 AM

1.95 for the cheap stuff, here we are taxed .40 per gallon to supposedly fix the roads, like the girder that fell and killed the family in golden??? It will go up more as memorial weekend approaches, have to gouge the tourist that come through.

PantyFanatic 05-21-2004 09:11 AM

2.36 / gal. (87 octane) yesterday.

(That’s $0.62 USD / L)

BUT!
4.6% of the world population have been consuming 25% of the global fuel supply.

Things! They are a changing. ;)
