It barely got above freezing here today.

Winter storm warnings today. Roads north and west of here are closed due to snow drifts. I should see crocus and Daffodils sometime in mid May :-(

It was beautiful here today. My daughter kept running around half dressed. :rolleyes:

I saw a bluejay yesterday, and the crocusses have been up for a week. The pussy willow is fuzzy and the forcythia's turning green! Horray!

*sigh*

still to cold here....

Might reach high 30's today according to weather report.

Spring is bustin out all over!

& Spring has sprung!

The bees are happy happy once again!

But.............Walmart does have a portion of the parking lot blocked off for their outside lawn & garden!!! :p

The ice flows are pretty much gone from the lake and most of the ground is bare. It could disapear again, but it won't be too long now.:D

(maybe it will be time to transplant some berry bushes soon:rolleyes: )

I was thinking about the crummy old 3-yield per season type. They sure are not very good compaired to THOSE. :lust:

It's getting better here... the snow is off the ground and the crocus are up... and it's going to stay above freezing tonight!

But I haven't put my winter coat away just yet... old man winter isn't done with us yet I'm sure!

After a few nice days ... 1-3 inches of snow predicted here. Guess ol' man winter hasn't quite given up. :(

Beautiful pics CGT and Lil! Makes me long for home and the warmer weather there. Unfortunately, it's still pretty grey and dismal here, but I'll send y'all pics as soon as things start to green up!

My Narcissis bulbs all bloomed a couple of days ago and I am seeing cut daffodills in the store.Boxes of fresh strawberries to.The biggest sign though is the bags of all licorice jelly beans (YUM!) found in the Easter candy section along Dove eggs and PeePs bunnys. Oh yes,women are wearing a lot less clothes this time of year.(even better than liorice jelly beans.)

I'd show you my daffodils poking through the ground......but they are covered with snow again today! Poor robins flew in just in time to get snowed on! Yesterday they were mating and bobbing all around my yard........today I can't find them anywhere! And the chickadees can't find the feed I put out either! I even heard the spring peepers (little frogs that hang out in the trees) last evening but they prolly foroze to death today *SIGH*

OMG! There goes a snow plow! Lemme at that friggin weatherman/woman! Oh...and PF? Keep your f'in "lake effect" weather.....would ya please??? We get one more lake effect/artic blast/Canadian winds report.......I'M GONNA SCREAM!!!!!

We were lucky. Had 2-3 inches of snow this morning, but virtually all of it is gone this evening. Never really covered the roads around here. :D

Being Canadian PF, I should spank you for those remarks, but you would like it tooooooo much ;)

I only have about 5" (12cm) right on the shore, but much of the area has up to 10"..................... and it's NOT going away DB. :(

My Favorite Time of the Year..........
 

Although my sinus' take a beating and all the Pollen wreaks havoc on me I find that the beauty of spring outweighs my weakness. It's my favorite time of the Year.

This is one of the Red Bud Trees that grow on the Company I work fors Property. I took this when it was raining (well..........sprinkling) and was surprized it came out as good as it did.


And lets not forget all the Little babies born around this time of Year. I hope to get some shots of the Red Tail Hawks that frequent my property. They are awesome to watch.

Q~ I'd be eternally grateful for a pic or two of some Tx Bluebonnets.

Oh...and I gotta say oops here! Forgot to tell ya earlier.... love the daffodils CGT! They are my favorite flower of all time and I can't wait for mine to bloom! And I forgot to tell you Lilith......I love your flowers/gardens! TY so much for sharing them!

We are FAR from spring here. Got 8 inches of snow yesterday and it's coming down again today. Maybe another inch or 2...

If you look hard in the pic, you might be able to see the trees budding... LOL

my garage is a mess from digging out the snowshovels I put away two weeks ago!

I went to water my hanging geraniums and out flew a little bird. Upon further investigation I found out I am gonna have to let the geranium die:p
