Snakes, big time.

My husband worked with a girl who was deathly afraid of 3 things- Fruits, Vegetables, and Logs floating on water (like lumberjacks do- cut em down, and send em down the river).

She couldn't look at anything with fruit or vegetables in it, including juice.

One has to wonder just what it takes to get terrified of such oddball things. ;)

Nothing. What's the point? I have to admit, I was freaked out by a mouse sprinting by in the 11th hour of my move in Feb. but it was more for the shock value.

I am an extreme fraidy-cat... :) But what does it the most are spiders, thunderstorms, and pretty much any kind of horror movie. :)

spiders. I seriously can't even move to get away from one when I see it.

heights. I can't stand on a chair to change a lightbulb, lol. I figure that's why God made me so short *shrug*

needles. they just give me serious heeby-jeebies. I can't watch them going in without feeling nausous and I've never donated blood. :p

To be perfectly honest and extremely general, the dark. I'm not afraid of the fact that it is dark but more because I'm not able to see everything around me. I grew up pretty paranoid due to reasons I won't get into at the moment, and the dark only made things worse.

I'm afraid of bees/wasps, also. But, it's because I'm allergic, so it's a rational fear, unlike the others :D

Spiders and other creepy crawlies, of course...also of drowning, since I nearly did a little over 10 years ago. I'm also terrified of failure or that something will happen to someone I love.

IAKaraokeGirl....now that you mentioned it.. the last 2 are my fears too. Yeah I gotta be miss perfect or I'm not happy.:rolleyes:

Wasps, Yellowjackets and Hornets.......

BECAUSE...they always seem to want to fly INTO my nose or ears (not because of the sting) and that's JUST NOT RIGHT AT ALL I TELL YA! I say, "fly around me...just don't fly INTO me"!!!!

Spiders and centipedes give me the creepie crawlies...BUT...

DOGS. They scare me....biting, jumping, barking ones...out of my skin. Bad childhood experience. Even poodles can frighten me. Seriously. Damn strange, but true.

Osuche~ You'd never make it in my neighborhood cause we have a lady who breeds standard poodles just down the street. It is not unusual to take a walk and be surrounded by 5 multi-colored gigantic yapping snapping puffs. I hate the damn things!

Yikes! Sounds like grounds to relocate to me...or at least create a class action lawsuit for distress... :D :D :D

I wasn't going to respond to this thread, because I really didn't think that I was scared of anything. But last night I was watching a movie and it reminded me of the dream that I have which I talked about in Sharni's other thread dreams and I was terrified. So I guess I am afraid of evil ghosts or spirits or devil like creatures. Even typing this is freaking me out:eek:

What terrifies me is something happening to one of my kids or my grandson.

What is it that gives you the heebies? Snakes and spiders are probably the two that most consistently give me shivers. Oh, yeah, gore in movies is not a favorite either.

What is it that you fear? Heights (which is funny because they didn't bother me as a kid) and drowning (and I don't know why)

What is it that terrifies you beyond all reason? Can't think of anything ... but I'll probably know when I find it. :)
