I think it would be kinda fun if we all took pics of our desktops and posted them here. And no I don't mean with your printer and webcam and stuff. I mean your other desktop, with your start bar and icons and everything, lol.

If you don't know how to do it, here's how. Find the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Mine is next to the scroll lock button. Go to your desktop with the icons and hit Print Screen. Now go to an image viewer, whatever you use to view pictures that are saved on your computer. For me, it's Paint Shop Pro. So open up the program and click on Edit and paste. It should paste your desktop there. Now just save it(.jpg's are best) and post it here...viola! :)

Here is mine, kinda cluttered, and dull...but it serves all my purposes.

K here's mine then too. :) I prefer the uncluttered look, relegating everything to a toolbar instead.

Jeeze, that's a lot of icons. How big is your screen?

Wish I could but I really use my desktop space and create a zillion folders for my websites/ work/ school/ pervin'. I have 62 folders and icons on my screen:o

19" SONY Trinitron tube, running at 1600x 1200 (75Hz). At work I have a pair of them for a combined 3200x1200 desktop :D

94 icons and counting :p

Okay, here's mine ...

Here's my main Desktop..................no fancy pictures here, can't be arsed with them on this machine.

Milk, nice monitor!..........I've got a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 920 19" only runnig it at 1280x1024@100Hz. it'll easily cope with the higher res but my eyes wont!!!


Looking at this pic I guess it's time for one of my desktop tidy ups I hate it being so cluttered.

It’s very interesting to see the desk tops with every icon for every program loaded on it and the ones with only their personal wallpaper. :D Here’s mine with only icons from the most frequent called for applications.

Well, as usual, it didn't work for me.....but I'm not surprised! Anyway...if I figure another way, short of taking a pic of it...I'll post it later! Great thread though, Romial! P.S. I use MGI PhotoSuite and I got all the way to "paste" and it wouldn't paste it in the program! *shrugs*

Do you know where that pic was taken SS? It looks just like a stretch of I-5 here in Washington.

Here's my current one, as of an hour ago. I make em myself, though, so whenever the mood strikes, I design a new one, and poof, I have a new backdrop.

Hmmm...it might be under Paste Special. Use the print screen thing to take a screen shot of the desktop then open up MGI and look under the edit menu. See if there's any paste of any kind there. If so, that should work. :)

I use Photosuite too Lixy....nor would it work in there for me

I opened the paint program...and pasted it into there, thn saved it as a jpg

Once saved opened it with Photosuite and resized it in there

I've got 1 icon *LOL* actually 2 now....i cant stand them on my desktop....dont see the point in having a desktop picture if ya only gonna cover it up with icons :D but hey thats me

Well for one reason or another, I can't post a picture of mine. But in the spirit of the thread I'll let you know that I have a picture of my girlfriend as the wall paper with the usual assortment of icons scattered about.

And I know who she is!!!!!!!;) :D :p

Won't work. The jpg file is waaaay too big. Suggestions?
