Let's indulge for a moment

and talk about dessert.

no, not the sexual kind (you naughty-minded sex addict, you)!

I'm talking about chocolate confections, too-many-calories-to-count sweets and bad-for-you treats that melt in your mouth :slurp:

What makes your tastebuds tingle?

naughtyangel 02-07-2004 01:25 PM

Nothing does it for me like deep fried ice cream, with strawberries and whip cream...mmmmm....

and topped with a cherry, of course!

jseal 02-07-2004 01:35 PM

naughtyangel,

Apple pie à la mode does it for me!

BlondeCurlGirl 02-07-2004 01:44 PM

My three favorites...chocolate flourless cake...chocolate truffles...and peach pie.

Can you guess that I really like chocolate?? ;)

Lilith 02-07-2004 02:08 PM

I just bought my guys a decadent looking glazed chocolate chip creme cake cause well I don't bake. They will love it!

jennaflower 02-07-2004 03:25 PM

the cheapest... and MOST unresistable treat for me...

2 bags of chips a hoy chocolate chip cookies... 1 large tub of coolwhip... 1 glass of milk...

directions...

in a 9x12 glass pyrex dish...

1) dip chocolate chip cookie into milk and line on bottom of dish

2) Cover with a layer of Cool whip

repeat.. until you have 3 layers of each... sprinkle cookie bits over top layer of coolwhip..

refrigerate for several hours...

OMG... it gets even better on the second and third day... if you have any left. LOL

Well other than "anything I can spread on my love" (and you know who you are <wink>), my favorite is cheesecake. But I love to bake so I've got about a hundred gooey, decadent, oh my god that's good kinda receipes. Probably why I'm" curvy" LOL

fzzy 02-07-2004 05:52 PM

lately I've had a craving for frosting ... the local store has what they call 2 bite cupcakes, for this I like the white cake ones best, I take the cake wrapper thing off and break off the bottom part of the cake and top in onto the frosting (make king of a sandwich) and then enjoy ... it distribute the frosting better per cake so it just tastes better to me somehow! :)

babybunny 02-07-2004 06:59 PM

Strawberries and cream...:slurp:

and yes darling I know who I am :D

I think you will be my favourite desert

sillyme 02-07-2004 08:23 PM

anything with chocolate, although cheesecake is a close second! :)

osuche 02-07-2004 10:39 PM

Tiramisu, creme brulee, or perhaps a chocolate cake with a warm molten center

Cheyanne 02-07-2004 10:52 PM

Chocolate chip cookies - straight out of the oven, with a tall glass of cold milk.. :D

BlueSwede 02-08-2004 12:41 AM

I love taramisu and Pavlova also. Plus, homemade chocolate-covered strawberries.

musketeer 02-08-2004 06:55 AM

Passion Cake with fresh double cream does it for me, or as a second choice Yorkshire Dales brand natural ice cream

naughtyangel 02-08-2004 10:05 AM

Jenna, that sounds soo good!

lakritze 02-08-2004 04:00 PM

Taramisu, chocolate truffles with Grand Mariner, cheese cake are three of my favourite and fortunately,I can make all three.

osuche 02-08-2004 04:01 PM

lakritze -- I've recently found that tiramisu is SO much better if made with pound cake instead of ladyfingers -- holds MUCH more coffee and amaretto.

Yummmm...

Real, authentic, genuine New York cheese cake from a Jewish deli in Manhattan. Nothing better, ever!

PashkinThePanther 02-08-2004 04:59 PM

Anything very sweet, usually with chocolate or cream....

musicman 02-08-2004 06:34 PM

the the godiva chocolate cake at Morton's Steakhouse

GusAspar 02-09-2004 10:17 AM

Nothing is more delicious than my Mother's oven-baked egg custard. (Well, nothing that you'll find on the supper table, anyway.)

cowgirltease 02-09-2004 01:09 PM

Godiva chocolates!!! MMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

celticangel 02-10-2004 09:34 AM

Ben and Gerry's Cookie Dough Ice~cream!

Loulabelle 02-10-2004 09:56 AM

My Mum's Iced Caramel Mousse.......affectionately known as 'Mars Bar Pud' in my family.

Melted Mars Bars, double cream, milk and egg white.........mmmmmmmm....it's about a million calories a mouthful.

campingboy 02-10-2004 06:51 PM

I’m not a huge fan of sweet things. My side table has lots of fruit on it. But my two weak points are; dark English Christmas pudding with hard sauce, and fresh oatmeal raisin cookies.

lakritze 02-11-2004 04:51 PM

Thanks for the pound cake tip.I have been looking for something to replace lady fingers.

Amen Hun! ^5!

Once went to a restaraunt in Manhattan and ordered a mushroom cheesesteak (what did I know....I'm a Jersey girl???)....and the waitress said, "Oh honey...we don't have mushroom cheeseCAKE"!!! Oh....for crying out loud.........if I'd have known the expression "duh" at the time....that'd been my choice for a response! As it was (about 1983)...all I could say was......."WHEW! That's a good thing!"
