DIRTY dirt!:o
lmao :D Only the cork gun was not an everyday thing from childhood. But they were around as an old curiosity. (which one was it for you SC?) |
OMG!!!!! NOOOOOOOO I can't be!!!!!
I don't feel it anyways:D I remembered 19 of 'em......;) :p Yep, they were the best times weren't they?:) |
22 out of the list ranks me as old as dirt
|
Prehistoric Dirt - 22
*sigh* |
I'm in good company - older than dirt - 17
|
21 Damn I knew I was older than dirt, now I have proof!
|

Wow, I'm kinda surprised. I thought I'd have a higher score. |

you're still a baby Steph!:p :D |
Dirt here
|
I remember 8 so does that just make me grubby?
|
I remember all 25. (hears bones creak. :D) By the way, Scarecrow, do you have any "Clove" gum to go with that Blackjack? And, would you believe, I just saw in a dollar store some of those wax bottles with a bit of colored sugar-water in them. Almost bought some, but didn't.
Think I'll mosey on back to my rocking chair. Drat, where's that cane? |
13,
And we didn't have 10 of them here in Oz that I'm aware of. |
PF I didn't remember the Blackjack Gum because I'd only chewed "Clove" gum.
|
You can still buy both. I always put it in stockings.
|
Yeah I'm just gonna go crawl back on over to my crib & grab my binkie.
Granted I know of all of them .... just can't say I "remember" |
In the UK we had Blackjacks but they were a liquorice flavour chew, I switched the US meaning for the UK one.
|
Scarecrow,
Um, 21 here. But hey! That's GOOD dirt. |
Older than dirt here too, but I'm in good company with PF, dicksbro, BIBI, Scarecrow, CGT, Cobalt. Lilith, et al.
Speaking of the Blackjack and Clove chewing gum....I never cared for those as much as I like Beeman's Pepsin Chewing gum. Does anyone remember FanTan chewing gum??? |
I remembered 12 of them...
I guess that means I'm still MUD eh? |
24 out of 25.I'm not sure what was meant by party lines,so that
was the one!You forgot those little 1/2 round candies that were on paper sheets.I don't remember what they were called. Irish DIRT!! |
I think those were ccalled "DOTS", Irish. They were pink and green and yellow etc. I saw some "reproductions" a few years back, but they weren't as good as I remembered. (What is? ;) )
|
Yep...dots! I ate them too. Nothing better than some sugar stuck to paper, that inveriably ends up in your mouth to say the good ole days :D
|
24 of 25, I don't really remember the Studebaker. I reckon it's official, I'm old as the hills.:D
|
I remembered nine...and I am only twenty five. I guess that means my parents collected old stuff? :)
|
13...
How'd I get that old?? Boy it really sneaks up on ya! |
Don't know any one who owns a Studebaker, but I've got a friend with an Edisel
|
22 here.......(though I know of them all) *calls my pet dinosaur over to give her a "Pixie Stick"*
Can't believe they (Pixie Sticks) weren't on there! Who remembers those? OMG.......and to this day I hate the thought of those metal ice-cube trays! I'd never open one if someone was around to do it for me.....and I'd stick my fingers in my ears as they did it, so that I couldn't here the crackle! If I HAD to open one myself....I would run it under water and shrink the cubes and get all the dryness (from it being frozen) off it before I would crack it open! Ewwwwwwww......gives me the heebie jeebies just remembering them! Fingernails on a chalk board don't hold a candle to the shivers I got/get from metal ice-cube trays!!!!!! |

24 out of 25 that makes me only 1 day older than dirt
|
I remembered most of those before, but don't remember them now. I don't remember much of anything now. :spin: Does that mean I’m getting young again?
|
7.......... so what's that make me?
"You're getting older"......well I certainly hope so! |
I remember 6. I thought i was still young at 29. Oh Well!!!
|
I missed this one first time around somehow...I remember 14 items, some of them, just barely...I colud have counted Packards as something I remember, as there were a few still around when I was little, but they were out of production by the time my memory starts...but I do remember the end of the Studebaker (1964, if memory serves)...
