Foreign foods

What foods from around the world do you enjoy? I love a good Thai or Mexican.

Lilith 01-05-2004 02:07 PM

I can find something I enjoy in almost all ethnicities.

osuche 01-05-2004 02:43 PM

I think I can speak for both Steph and myself when I say that "THAI RULES"

Lilith 01-05-2004 02:56 PM

Yes;)

musketeer 01-05-2004 03:03 PM

You can't beat a good hot curry:slurp: it may make your rear end feel a bit :hot: the morning after but it's worth it!

Ryan² 01-05-2004 05:23 PM

osuche, I have found that both Thai food as well as the people are lovely. Infact, I hardly have one criticism that is Thai related. Loved the country when I was there in 2001.

Steph 01-05-2004 05:53 PM

OMG, you are speaking for me, osuche! I had the BEST Pad Thai last night, however IAKG just mentioned Japanese to me this afternoon and I'm going to head to a local Japanese restaurant soon. However, WI and I were discussing the merits of Middle Eastern food today and I'm really craving tabouli!

And then I wonder why I'm always hungry. :jester:

Sharni 01-05-2004 06:55 PM

Chinese food does it for me...MmmmmMmmmmmmmm

Teddy Bear 01-05-2004 08:30 PM

Chinese and Italian are my favorites.

But I enjoy all types of food.

Except seafood - yuck! - and I live in the 'Ocean State'. Go figure....

I love sushi, hell I love oriental food in general, but shushi is the best!

Can I claim that I like mexican food even though I live in Texas and therefore it wouldn't be considered foreign food?

Ryan² 01-06-2004 03:29 PM

Yuck. Sushi my ass.

There is a Mexican food place out here called "Taco Sal's". The food is great! Be prepared to fast before and after, though. It's got everything in it and there are large portions. It's a little hole-in-the-wall place that has been there for years. I'm also fond ofvariations of Cappellini Pom'doro. (Sp?)

BIBI 01-07-2004 10:55 AM

P'raps you should - eating avocodo is a good way to pack on some pounds.

Oldfart 01-07-2004 12:17 PM

There is a lot of fusion food here on the edge of Asia.

Some great, some complete crap.

Lilith 01-07-2004 01:25 PM
