You're Toast.......

NO...I mean Your Toast. You may like white bread, black bread, whole wheat, raisen, english muffins or bagels. But do you butter your toast before spreading peanut butter, jelly, jam, preserves, marmalade or cream cheese????

Aqua 11-11-2003 05:08 PM

It's either butter or jam/jelly. Not both. That just seems wrong to me...

Butter and Boysenberry Jam...skippylicious

Lilith 11-11-2003 05:12 PM

peanut butter

Aqua 11-11-2003 05:17 PM

Oh, Peanut Butter is good... with Cinnamon and Sugar

WildIrish 11-11-2003 05:21 PM

I like butter and peanut butter.

But I saw Kate & Leopold six times in the past week (because I'm a caring and sensitive man, not because my wife loves it), and think that the 9-grain toast with mascarpone cheese and strawberries looks quite tasty.

Now all I have to find out is what a mascarpone is, and how they milk it.

Fresh butter.

Period.

Lilith 11-11-2003 06:58 PM

dry multigrain toast or bagel here. occasionally a little butter, but 99% of the time dry.

Nightstick26 11-11-2003 10:25 PM

butter here, but would love to try Lilith on a piece! :hot:

fzzy 11-11-2003 10:42 PM

butter ... the real stuff ... unless I'm visiting Mom ... then I add some of her homemade raspberry jam at least once .... but then you gotta have that cause it's on homemade bread. :p

BlondeCurlGirl 11-11-2003 11:15 PM

It's either/or for me. Will not use butter in addition to any other topping. Will usually go for jam but also enjoy PB once in awhile too if I'm not packing it in a lunch. Bagels have to be blueberry or strawberry with cream cheese!

FussyPucker 11-12-2003 03:28 AM

nice simple white bread with butter and jam.

dancingrugger 11-12-2003 04:09 AM

I'm loyal to my bagel w/veggie cream cheese

dicksbro 11-12-2003 06:30 AM

Butter and peanut butter is one of my favorites ... but so is toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar. Yummy!

To much free time I think. :)

I like my toast with butter, cinnamon & sugar or butter with maple sugar or with just maple spread.

English muffins get butter & strawberry jam.

Bagels get cream cheese, either plain or chive.

celticangel 11-12-2003 04:40 PM

brown bread with a light scrapping of orange marmalade with "bits" in!!!!!!

LixyChick 11-13-2003 06:58 AM

toasted onion or "everything" bagel w/ veggie cream cheese.........(when I do eat a bagel.....which is rare!)......

dry, rye toast....dipped (quickly) in warm (not hot) tea....semi-sweetened with sugar substitute.......

Um....guess that's it for me!

sillyme 11-13-2003 07:57 AM

I'm not really into to toast but I like these best:

white bread toasted with butter and grape jelly

multigrain bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese
