Why do women
Why do women laugh when men get hit in the bollocks?
|
I don't!
When I was in elementary school, my female friend hit a male friend in the balls with a baseball. He puked! It was terrible! |
OWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was going to have scrambled eggs for breakfast. I'll just have some toast instead. |
Not all of us laugh......
|
I wouldn't laugh either~~~~~~~~~ouch!
|
I watch "Funniest Videos" from time to time....and its not just women who laugh.....I see the men in the audience laugh and cringe at the same time! Guess they're just glad it wasn't them.....huh? Anyway.....I don't find it funny either! I usually sound something like Homer when it happens........DOH!
Hey! FussyPucker told me "bollocks" meant something else! Fussyyyyyyy? You got some splainin to do! LMFAO! |
I so did not Lixy! Bollocks = balls = sensitive = please don't kick me there!
I might have told you that a bullock is something completely different! |
Laugh??? I bend over in pain with ya!!! OUCH!!!!
|
Hmmmmmmmmm! Now he's trying to confuse me with semantics! Not a hard thing to do either.........um.....I mean....Hey! I know what I was told! LMFAO!

I am sure if someone laughs it must simply be nervous laughter.
|
Nervous laughter... maybe... but I don't think I have ever really heard someone LAUGH after watching someone experience that... I have heard many GASPS... but never a laugh..
I think maybe that Therapy Thread of Stephs prompted this question... and that... was obviously in fun... thus promoting laughter :) I don't believe for a moment that if that had been encountered, no one would have laughed. |
When I was 8 years old, I borrowed my friends bike......a boy's bike that was way too big for me AND I forgot it was a boy's bike and jumped off the seat but instead of landing on the ground....I landed on the bar! I would never laugh at a man getting hurt in that way............because it friggin hurts!
|
I laugh simply because the reaction that accurs afterwards.
|
It is human nature to laugh, not necessarily whole heartedly... but laugh non the less when one is nervous or embarrassed. It helps to ease the nerves.
|
Don't get me wrong Jenna, I'm not being all male P.C. on this one. Steph's thread did remind me that a lot of UK girls/women do laugh as in the funny video clip shows. I admit when someone took a bad blow in the knackers when playing rugby, we used to say "Don't rub them - count them!"
I think that it is because it has been part of the British slapstick tradition for a long time. I remember Frank Spencer in Some Mothers Do Ave'em. He was always bruiseing his gonads and pulling very funny faces. I was about to say that you American Girls are so much more sensitive to male problems - but then I remembered Mrs. Bobbit. |
Oh I believe she was VERY sensitive to the male problem she was creating.:D

My mistake! *strips and bends* [I baited that hook good and proper on this one....didn't I? :D ] |
well I confess to laughing cos it does look funny and it wasn't me LOL . But I also know the pain, i was playing cricket as the wicket keeper and through sheer stupidity I didnt wear a "frog", a scrotal proctector and of course the ball went through the gloves and collected me in the balls. That is when 3 really is a crowd LOL.
For those not acquainted with a circket ball, it is very hard and leather cased, much harder than a baseball. I had badly bruised nuts and they swelled as well. the other players laughed too and some years later I could see the funny side :) |
Yeah, I laugh...Kinda like watching a train wreck.
Strangely funny, and painful at the same time. |
I never laugh...I can imagine the pain!
