What are you a whore for???


I am a bead (natural stones and silver, crystals too) whore! It is the one thing (non sexual) that does it for me. I will spend an ungodly amount on them. What is it that you are a slave to, a whore for?

My garden pimps me like a purple coated bitch.

Books, nonfiction, especially how-tos, relationship improvement/communication books, cookbooks, nature books. I'm putty in the hands of Border's and Barnes & Noble, particularly in their bargain book sections.

Books for me too. Especially any sort of vampire/horror book. I could spend a fortune in almost any book store.

CDs can't move without knocking them over

I'm the same as T-S but it's newspapers - four subscriptions on the weekend, one every day plus tons of Internet subscriptions.

books and DVD's (the old classics that are coming out) ... I have no control when it comes to either

Purses...................

Would have to go with computer parts and pieces. And getting more into DVDs.

Electronics... can't have enough of them, can't be without the latest ones (mostly).... the bitch of it is how quickly that gets expensive!

I also have a tendency to avoid all bookstores and/or photography stores if I can help it. I get in too much trouble. :D

I love my books, usually have three on the go at once, but if I saw a pair of shoes and a new title from a favourite author, the shoes would win every time.

I have teddy bears made of ceramic, crystal, porcelain, wood, and of course the good ole stuffed teddy’s. If a store has teddy bears they call out to me. I have several that are souvenirs from trips, the ‘hard rock café- fla bear, the Vermont bear, etc. A friend sent me a koala bear and a teddy bear from Australia, and I also have bears from Canada and Germany.

Their all so cute and cuddly. They can’t be left in the store, they need a loving home. I was asked once how many I have. I’ve never counted them because then I’d see just how big a whore I am for them. Is there a teddy bear anonymous support group? lol

Lets see...books, music, comics, and lately....TOOLS! Yeah...I'm a Craftsman Whore...

Books are without a doubt the second irresistible in my life.;) The only other thing that has accumulated, more than in the normal home, is world globes. There are many maps of all types that are part of another hobby or interest of mine, but world globes of all sizes from small bookend type, desk globes to 16” floor models have become everything from a reference to a decoration.:) The grand kids grew up with Mickey Mouse night-light globes and know something is missing in other homes when a globe isn’t standing around.:rolleyes: Yep! You have to have a globe. If you don’t have one, I’ll buy you one.

I dont really spend money on myself, (ya I am a tightwad when it coems to me) But sometimes I indulge and buy those things..

Cookbooks............especially those little paperback ones at the grocery checkout. Used to be one for 'regular' books, but anymore when I sit down to try to read a good book, I fall asleep within 5-10 pages.

Also am a whore for FABRIC!!! I'm learning to quilt and buying fabric is addictive side-effect. (She who dies with the most fabric, WINS!!! LOL)

God, I've got so many damned little collectibles.

My car can do this to me. Windshield got cracked early this week when something smacked it just under the passenger side windshield wiper. There's $500 goodbye.

Computer stuff, like when it was on the glitch recently.

Then piddly things, like books, movies, DVDs, CDs, comic books (yeah I still have some), other collectible type things....

Maybe one day I'll put my whole damn bedroom on eBay and make a mint. :P

Or if anything happens to me, my family will have a nice estate sale. :P

It kept me up all night reading when I had to work the next day. Racy, sexy, suspenseful horror book. Loved it.
