Which could you keep longer~ a vow of silence or an oath of celibacy (includes masturbation)????

What would be the temptation for either, you could not resist?

Hmmmmmmmm...........I hate to admit it but I could go without sex longer than I could go without talking. I'm assuming I couldn't write down my thoughts either.....and if so.........yep! It'd be no sex, cause I can't keep my thoughts to myself even for a minute! LOL!

Since I haven't had any form of sexual intimacy with another person in almost 2 1/2 years... and sadly I often go weeks without even masturbating (sometimes doing so just isnt' enough and just leaves me empty)... I know that I can last longer without it.. than I could possibly last without talking.

Definitely celibacy! Like Lixy, I ruefully admit it! In my case, it's more because I'm a 'news spreader'! :)

Oh sure, I'll keep a secret when necessary but gossip can be so fun!

Having said that.... I'm a very communicative person... I'd hate biting my tongue so much!!!

And I will argue on a technical point against this question.... since surely communication is an essential part of sex, a vow of silence IS, in potentia, a vow of celibacy as well. Ergo, one negates the other. Not always, I'll grant ye, but still a significant point in my opinion :)

I would rather go with silence than celibacy... but the actual depends on if I still have to go to work and such.

If I am just at home, I'd jack off silently all day... ;)

If I could be around people all day long I'd choose celibacy, but as soon as I'm alone I start masturbating without even realising it! Lol

Plus.......after a while of being silent, it becomes quite pleasant and I'm always reluctant to break that silence......whereas after a spell of celibacy I'm climbing the walls with desire for sexual release.

For me I think it would be silence....of course I'm kinda quiet a lot of the time anyway. So I think I could go longer without speaking than I would without sex....of course there are times lately when seeing how long I can go without sex is being tested....

celibacy... the day I don't tell someone what I think, that's the day they can put me 6' under.
