What are you looking forward to this Spring and Summer?

Lilith's fault (again) but her mentioning Matrix 2 in another thread got me to thinking about the things I'm anticipating through July, and I'm wondering what other people are looking forward to.

Just next week will be HUGE for any fans of the 40-years-old-this-year Doctor Who. Talongs of Weng-Chiang gets a double dvd release on Monday, and the legendary lost episode Shada, in its newly completed form, gets its debut on the BBCi website on Friday.

May, well, X-Men 2, Matrix Reloaded and believe it or not I would like to see Finding Nemo.

June I can't honestly think of anything at the moment.....

July 1st a movie I've been waiting for for a LONG time to come onto DVD finally will, the German film Wings of Desire gets a special edition treatment. Also the original La Femme Nikita gets a special edition treatment.

So what about everyone else? :)

Women wearing less clothing. : ) The best thing about summer.

LixyChick 04-24-2003 04:52 AM

LOL@nekosan! Have I said Welcum to Pixies, yet? Welcum hun!

Looking forward to garden fresh tomatoes and flowers galore! Looking forward to taking outside pics for Pixies!

Not looking forward to digging up the septic system (in another part of the yard, not near the maters..lol!) and opening up a better drain field. Arrggggggg! The wonderful world of homeownership!

dadaist 04-24-2003 06:35 AM

I know what I forgot for June, for those that have been reading along for the last few years:
Harry Potter #5!

Lilith 04-24-2003 06:44 AM

Hey Sharni~ What holiday do you have in your fall/ winter in OZ?

Sharni 04-24-2003 06:49 AM

Just the June school holidays...when its damnwell cold and ya cant pry my ass of the heater.....

Can ya tell i'm already hanging for summer *LOL*

Sweet_Candy 04-24-2003 08:41 PM

Riding my motorcycle of course !!!!!!!!!!! :D

Sharni 04-24-2003 08:50 PM

Weather makes no difference when it comes to riding.....thats why they invented wet weather gear or snowsuits

Ya bike wont shrink either if it gets wet...i can assure you *LOL*

Sweet_Candy 04-24-2003 08:59 PM

I ride from early spring to late in the fall........ yesterday morning it was 30 degrees when I took off for work.

But I find that the bike isn't all that fond of ice and snow......lol. Here in Northern Michigan ya never know what tomorrow will bring.

Besides when the weather is nice the ride is sooooooooo much nicer !!!!!!!

Sharni 04-24-2003 09:10 PM

No white type ice here....but we do get black ice....and i understand the bike not liking it completely....damn scary shit when ya hit it *L*

I am looking forward to graduation in about 3 weeks.

I'm looking forward to my 23rd birthday in June, and those of my other friends who all have their birthdays just a couple weeks before and after mine.

I'm also eager to be moving out of my parents' soon (hopefully...cross your fingers I get a job)

Finally...I'm just waiting for the days to all be nice so I can be outside and enjoy the sunshine! Can't wait to swim, skate, and enjoy all the festivals, nightlife, and outdoor concerts the city has to offer once it is nice out! :)

Summer 04-24-2003 09:33 PM

Just a few things I am looking forward to.

The first is a move. My family is moving further south.

Next will be having both of my children home with me 24/7.

Great days spent at the beach basking in the sun, playing in the surf, and building enormous sand castles with the kids.

Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking Kayaking !

Sweet_Candy’s rid to work was –2c for you Sharni. LMAO You start hugging that heater when it drops to 10c. (50f) lol

Maybe we can save some expenses here.;) Would you like us to send the tire chains we’re just taking off down to you for the season?

I am not sure. But picturing a tall dark and handsome stranger saying it just seems so damn sexy. hehe

Reading all of Sharni's posts I feel kinda dumb. Next time I do a threat like this I'll make sure to specify which hemisphere I'm referring to! :P

huntersgirl 04-25-2003 10:50 AM

Oh so many things to look forward to.

local baseball games
Swimming
Boating
Sitting on my porch
Star gazing
Long walks in the woods
BB-Q's and beer
Shady trees on a hot day
the smell of rain on pavement

and last but certainly not least...making love in a field of fireflies;)

dadaist 04-25-2003 11:05 AM

I can think of MUCH better heat sources to hug ;)

BlueSwede 04-25-2003 05:58 PM

After being in an LDR for more than 2 years, I'm looking forward to my fiance' finally joining me for good some time this summer. In the meantime, since I can't afford to go anywhere or do much of anything, the highlight of the spring will be the new Matrix movie.

I hate hot weather (at least hot, humid weather), Sharni. I'll trade my summer in the hot, humid US Midwest for your cooler temperatures! :D

Sharni 04-25-2003 06:07 PM

Done deal!!! :D:D:D:D

BlueSwede 04-25-2003 06:19 PM

Great! :D I'm a hot weather wimp; when the temperature rises to anything over 68 degrees F, all I want to wear is my birthday suit. :redghost:
