Posting message on old threads
 

Am I the only one who finds it somewhat humorous when somebody posts a message on a thread that hasn't been posted on in several months. Alot of times I see newer members post replies on threads started by a lovely pixie lady who no longer posts. Is it just me or does anyone else find that to be a tad bit odd?

Makes me remember all the good friends that have come and gone, I like it.

Sometimes it sends them an email that someone has posted to their thread and they come back to check it out.

In the Sex Talk forums it sometimes revives a thread that was especially interesting.

Some of the old threads are just as interesting and just as relevent as when they were written. Its mostly fun in the picture section to bring back an old one so those yummy people can be at the top of the list again and be seen and enjoyed by us newbies. And being new we don't know who's still around & who's not...

I think I'll go find me an old pic thread to revive............ yummmmmy. hehehe

Been there, done that myself and as Lilith said no harm no foul.

I do it, b/c I usually don't play games and I like to hear new views on old topics.

I'll make a note in my diary for september and post to this thread about then :0)

Hehe as far as pictures go, yes I've seen a few times where a thread is very old and the person who posted the pics hasn't been on pixies since the first day they posted, but I like to think if they ever do come back and look at the thread, what a pleasure it would be.

I've had a few old threads revived like that and in chat people say "Wowwww ienki love the new pics!! They are so great" me-- "new pics?? what??" I like to see they are still being enjoyed -- all that effort put into taking the pics and it's a little sad when you know that no one is looking at them anymore!

I am guilty as well, heeheehee. But when you see something you enjoy I see no harm in letting the person who posted know. :) Even if it is something older.

Leigh's Stip Poker Thread is never out of date, I may just go bump it.

so somehow I started reading this thread...looked at the date and thought "why not"

I don't do it for the pure and simple reason that I have enough trouble keeping up with new posts... I can't imagine going back and reading all the old ones and then think up something to say about them. I will say however it is easier to go back and look to see if someone has already posted a question I am going to ask, I can just read what other people said to that person so in a way saves me time. But I usually don't even notice when someone has revived an old thread, I will sometimes but not often. I am too new to really know all the ones that have come and gone. I mean at times I will think of a name of someone I use to talk to a lot and suddenly I realize I haven't seen them in a long time. But I don't really assume they left, I just assume I haven't caught them at the right time.

I love that a question about bumping really old threads got bumped after two years!

I've wandered into the past and found some really interesting stuff that I had'nt seen in forever and sometimes ya just gotta do it. It's fun.

I like the bumping idea - helps me catch up on the threads I've missed.

I tend to go on little spurts from time to time when things might be a little slow. After 2-1/2 years here, there are still *tons* of threads I've never even seen before, and I'm constantly amazed at the wonderful, funny, helpful, and friendly people that are found here. Some of the "old" threads may be timely or insightful for those of us who weren't around the first time they hit the boards, and, when I bump, I try to bump those threads I think might have a chance of catching on, at least briefly.

I have to applaud you for reading around to get some of the sincere replies given to serious topics, especially in the advise section. I enjoy reviewing old threads and even adding to them, but I’m often torn between not wanting to be redundant and wondering if an involved, serious (rear as they are ;) ) reply is worth the effort.

As for revisiting our beautiful ladies,………….. lust is immediate and eternal. :lust:
