Once a year is just not enough.......

I tell you these girl scouts make a killing off me in March:p

So tell me......what's your fave Girl Scout cookie and how many boxes have you bought?

Me~ thin mints...... and I bought 3 boxes then the 4 I ordered came in. My family are Samoa lovers so 1 box thin mints and 6 Samoas.

Do you buy a little or do you have it worked into your yearly budget:p?

BlondeCurlGirl 03-10-2003 09:15 AM

Thin mints are the only cookies considered at our house when the time comes :D The most my mom ever bought (from me :( ) was a dozen I think...which she froze and we ate one box a month.

gekkogecko 03-10-2003 10:58 AM

I may be the only one in the world, but I despise Girl Scout cookies. Yes, even when they're made from real Girl Scouts.

Sharni 03-10-2003 01:07 PM

Never bought any.....not seen any girl scouts at my door selling cookies either

Lilith 03-10-2003 01:10 PM

Sharni~ I can ship you some but it takes 7 -8 weeks to get there.....lol

IAKaraokeGirl 03-10-2003 01:11 PM

All right. Next person visiting Sharni is required to pack Girl Scout Cookies. :D

Steph 03-10-2003 02:37 PM

What are the Samoas? We just have chocolate and vanilla cookies in Canada, I do believe. I'm not a huge fan of them so I could be wrong . . .

Lilith 03-10-2003 03:03 PM

OMG......Samoas are (to me) hideous caramel coconut chocolate thingies.....I think

IAKaraokeGirl 03-10-2003 03:04 PM

Yes, Lilith, but without the "hideous." :D

Gilly 03-10-2003 03:31 PM

Peanut Butter Patties... mmmmm..... I could down 4 or 5 boxes of those in a day.

Unfortunatly, we don't have anyone in the area who is selling them, and we missed my neice's selling time. :(

Yes, that's what they are. Ugh. Hideous... but then, I hate coconut. They ruin a perfectly good chocolate and caramel cookie with coconut. What were they thinking?

Lilith 03-10-2003 03:38 PM

I have coconut issues too......only place I like coconut is in RUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!

*offers IAKGirl a trade.....Do Si Dos for Samoas?*

ummmmmmmm why do they call them "Thin Mints"? They make my ass HUGE! Nothing thinning about them:p

IAKaraokeGirl 03-10-2003 04:15 PM

It's a deal, Lil. Can't stand those cookies that remind me of square dancing. :D

My three year-old discovered thin mints today...unfortunately while I was on the phone. She'd eaten 3/4 of a sleeve before I discovered how sneaky she was. ;)

Gilly 03-10-2003 04:19 PM

-gasp- I've had my kids do the same!

Incidently, has anyone here tried frozen thin mints? OH HEAVEN! They are just AWESOME!

IAKaraokeGirl 03-10-2003 04:23 PM

Yes, they *are* good.

We keep the thin mints in the fridge, anyway. When I caught her today, my daughter looked at me and said, "But Mom, I LIKE these. They're crispy." :D

Gilly 03-10-2003 04:26 PM

rof

Out of the mouths of babes... soooo adorable.

Eros 03-10-2003 04:30 PM

Thin mints-2 boxes, Samoas-2 boxes, Ole Ole-2 boxes, and yes frozen Thin Mints are great with coffee...but then so are the mint and cream Oreos.. ;)

scotzoidman 03-10-2003 07:55 PM

They lurk outside Kroger & catch me on the way out...gotta have the Tagalongs, what pisses me off is for $3 you get a lot of plastic package & very few cookies...

Oldfart 03-11-2003 03:06 AM

We don't have Girl Scouts on Oz (Girl Guides), and we never

see them on our doorstep.

The electric doormat works on more than Mormons.

RandyGal 03-11-2003 06:07 AM

ROTFLMAO X 10!!!

Am still laughing too hard at gekkogecko's reply to be able to form a reply of my own! :D :D

denny 03-12-2003 01:49 AM

I sold over 100 boxes for my daughter at work and yes, thin mints and samoas are the hands down favorites.

Lilith 03-12-2003 07:51 AM

so denny,

You can hook me up?:p you can be my cookieman:D

LixyChick 03-12-2003 11:29 AM

Out of "obligation" (I get cornered at work with all kinds of things to order from friends with children and grandchildren) I order one box of Thin Mints and one box of (when I was a Girl Scout they were called Savannah's) peanut butter thingy's and I leave them on my desk for anyone to take as they please!

I was thinking of taking up a side business at work........selling vibrators (or something of that nature) to all the people that, through the years, "made" me (gave me "that look" while simultaneously saying, "You don't have to buy them if you don't want to".) buy everything from Girl Scout cookies to holiday wrapping paper in June! LOL!

BlondeCurlGirl 03-12-2003 12:35 PM

Hmmm...it seems as if lots of us Pixies members have a loathing for that nasty cookie additive known as Coconut! :redghost: Bleccch!
