What's your favorite sandwich?

Some of you have seen my now infamous PB&J sandwiches:o:p but my most fave thing is a HUMMER:D:D:p

hummus
feta
black olives
lettuce
tomatoes
and if ya aren't a vegetarian, sliced turkey
on marbled rye


What about you? What is it you liked slapped between 2 pieces of bread?

Any one of the sexy Pixie Men between two slices of bread would curb my appetite in a hurry!! And I provide my own special sauce!!!:D :D



But if there is NO MEN around...then I settle for a Toasted Turkey sandwhich with a little mayonnaise with a dash of salt and pepper!
Even better if it's the day after making a turkey dinner!!
Also good toasted with cranberry sauce on it instead of mayo!!

Veggie salami (it's excellent, I swear to you!), dijon and romaine.

My favorite sandwhich is a melted cheese sandwhich with Wasabi horseradish mayo. mmmm I think it must be lunch time here. hehe

Sourdough Bread
Fat free mayo
Leaf lettuce
STO's bread and butter pickle slices
Hard Salami
Muenster Cheese

The Cuban Sandwich, made by one of the best restaurants/brewpubs in Madison:

A grill pressed sandwich of spiced pulled pork, ham and Swiss cheese on French bread.

YUM :)

Salt and Vinegar crisps (potato chips for the yanks) with tomato ketchup yummy !!!!

Banana and honey sandwich !
Banana and choc sauce sandwich !

First thought of sandwich didn't involve bread but
T-S slapped between two female members of Pixies :D

for hot sandwich I love a Gyros

cold I love to just slap any deli meat and chesses I can find into a sub bun with mayo and lettuce

btw Lilith your's sounds good might have to try one

I love hot roast beef sandwiches dripping with cheddar cheese. BBQ sauce and/or ketchup is optional.

coleslaw and grated cheese on a baggette!

I can't believe I am telling this......

I love bologna and cheese with Miracle Whip and potato chips (that's crisps to you Brits. LOL! Fussy!...Duh!)

And my all time fave, but I only do it around Thanksgiving is.....turkey slices (all white meat) with Miracle Whip, a sliver of the stuffing (I know, I know....it's already on bread!), cranberry sauce (not the whole berry shit) and a tiny bit of salt and so much pepper that you can't even see what's on the sandwich anymore!

Oh........and in the summertime......A, fresh from the garden, still warm from the sun, deep dark red tomato (a tomato that covers the bread with one slice), with Miracle Whip, and the same amount of pepper on it as the turkey thing!

*NOTE* Sorry for the Miracle Whip commercial! Ya'd think by now they would have paid me for advertising!

2 slices of bologna between 3 slices of Grants Farm Wheatberry with liberal slathering of Miracle Whip

My favorite is a club sandwich with no mayo........

Lixy I am with you too for the pepper with turkey and dressing........yummy! ;)

I eat this for lunch at least twice a week: turkey, ham, roast beef, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers, a ton and ½ of dill pickles, onions, BBQ sauce, mustard and lots of mayonnaise, all on a sub bun!

Wow, PixieSprite... ever heard of a Dagwood sandwich? You're hitting it right on.

My favorite is hot pastrami on rye, with cole slaw and Russian dressing... Ew-whee!!

Best Rueben ever..........A little Jewish deli in Philly! Near Rising Sun Ave. but I'll be damned if I can remember the name of the street!

Corned beef on rye with cole slaw, swiss cheese and thousand island dressing........stacked so high....meat sliced so thin and lean.......and you can't open your mouth that wide! Nothing better than a sloppy sandwich! Mmmmmmmmmm!

LOL! BIBI........I thought (and hubby swore), I was the only pepper nut on the planet! He said I ruined a perfectly good sandwich. I mean.........you can't even tell what's on the bread anymore when I am through!

Mentioned the roast beef and chedder, but for the summer, my absolute favorite is bacon, lettice and tomato sandwiches with lots and lots of Miracle Whip. Lixy and Scotz, you two have good taste! Maybe we can have a picnic. I'll bring a case of Miracle Whip. :D :D

No Favorites here ......but I do have a Texas Tube Steak Sandwich for anyone who might Like one. :)

Would you believe..CHEESE! Maybe with a side order of .... MORE cheese!! :D Any kind of hard cheese, or Dairylea triangle with HP sauce...Mmmm!!!!!

(BTW - what IS Miracle Whip? some kind of magical sandwich-tamer or something?!?!)
