Please Help
 

As most of you know my husband has not yet moved out to Missouri and is still living back in Michigan. I just finished speaking with him on the phone and he gave me some very bad news. It seems that on his way back from visiting a friend of ours he stopped to help a 40-ish woman who had run out of gas. She was getting a gas can out of her trunk when he stopped to ask if she needed a ride to a gas station. She accepted the ride and when they got to the gas station, trying to be a "gentleman" he got out to pump the gas into her gas can for her. BIG MISTAKE!! He no sooner got out of the truck (the one we just bought in September) when she drove off with it!!! There was a pkg. in it he had planned to mail to me that contained my jewelry box.....all my stuff is in it!! Nothing of any great monetary value, but too much stuff to want to spend the money to try to replace it all. We didn't have theft coverace because we couldn't afford the extra expense. He reported the theft immediately since he had his cell phone on him. So far the police have not located the truck or the woman that stole it.
I would like to ask those of you who believe in prayer to please pray that they find it and that it's not been totally stripped down and ruined. Otherwise please send out positive thoughts/vibes/energy or whatever.

that really sucks... there are some real lowlifes in this world... hope they catch the bitch... now adays.. it would take something serious for me to help someone out... calling the police.. and bringing them back gas is something I would do.. but as a woman.. I won't allow anyone in my car... just a bit perinoid I guess.

I'm so VERY glad your husband wasn't hurt...and that it didn't end up in some sort of violence.

Oh brother......how awful for that to have happened. Not only the loss of your truck and your belongings. When something like that happens you lose a lot more than what was actually taken for you lose your sense of trust and compassion for those in apparent need. Your poor husband must feel so victimized by this and what did he do to deserve it? Nothing! Just being a nice guy!
It makes a person jaded and rightfully so! I will keep the postive thoughts going for you and your hubby. He must be a very nice caring person to stop and help someone....you don't find that too often these days. Cudos to him!!!

Thank you all so very, very much!!! The police are keeping in touch with my husband and told him last night that they still haven't found it. I'm sure it was a professional operation because when the police went to where the woman left her car it was gone. I have to just be extremely thankful that it was "only" a theft. It could have been so much worse......he could have been shot or stabbed in the process. We can always get another truck, but I certainly can never replace HIM!! In spite of whatever problems we have, I love him dearly and can't imagine my life without him.

I just got a phone call from my husband. OUR CAR WAS FOUND THIS MORNING!!!
The officer that called said that as far as she knew, the truck was INTACT!!
I don't know yet about the pkg that was inisde. He'll be picking it up from the impound lot tomorrow.
