On Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky. So far, I'm not aware of anyone that is planning to make it to PAGAN-08 and represent one of these states on the Pixie Colors. ;)
Tennessee must be bordered by more states than any other and a hub of the south. Too bad there isn't any pride down there. :rolleyes2

I know the south has as much or more pride than anywhere else. (at least that's what I've been told :rolleyes: ) But, I am surprised that with such a central location, we are not going to see more new faces among the Pixies gathered together. I believe the choice for this years event was partially decided to make it accessible for our southern members (and make them stop :tear: about never having anything for them). They even convinced me to cross that Mason Dixon line (which I think runs through Akron Ohio :rolleyes: ) just to meet and be with more Pixies. I can only tell you that most Pixies that have met, have enjoyed the experience enough to want to do it again. I'm pretty sure these places are closer than the state of Northern Territory, Australia. :rolleyes2

Sure hope that any fence-sitters will call today and make your reservations. Even if you're still a bit in doubt ... register now and you've got up until 48-hours before ... to cancel the reservations. But if you wait, the cost is liable to go up on the rooms.

Like PF, I sure hope several of our southern brothers, sisters and their spouses or significant others will join us. Go once and it'll become addictive. Really. :)

Tennessee is tied with Missouri, sharing its border with eight states: MO, KY, VA, NC, GA, AL, MS, & AR...

We do have a definite maybe from northern Alabama, which is close enough to not need hotel reservations (nice day trip)...most of Kentucky is also close by, but I don't know of too many active Pixies in the day tripper zone. Irony, or just bad timing maybe, has brought us scandalously high fuel prices during an event that was planned a year ago, so I'm guessing that only member with the means to do so can make it...I know that if I wasn't already in place, I couldn't afford it (& I even wince at the idea of having to drive the 10-15 miles to meet the visitors).

Yes, Tennessee is considered a hub, not just to the south, but to the US east of the Mississippi River, a frequent selling point for the chamber of commerce ;)

And PF, I'm just gonna pretend the comment about "no pride" didn't happen...there are a lot of folks down here with guns, & they like to use smartass Yankees for target practice :whack:
