I would like to think that anyone who is accused of molesting a child would be investigated.....not just strange rich ones who are accused. Of course because he is famous he is getting lots of press coverage. In fact he agreed to the interview only because the network would not run his special unless he did......so it does make one wonder why he did the interview in the first place. I myself don't think it was to try to clear his name....It was so his TV special would air and that to me speaks volumes......
Well that's my opinion for what it's worth! :)

They are all using it to make names for themselves or make cash, so is he. I am a long time net user. I have twice had dealings with police over kids and sex.
1).. I was playing a online role playing game. It was clear adults and children where doing sex chat as a result of meeting each other in the game. It took two years to get even minor changes made to the site to limit it. The police in two countries were more interested in who was going to get the credit for catching anyone. As there was no pictures of kids being pasted around they were not in any hurry to do anything.
2).. I have been in chatrooms and yahoo groups over the years. Adult and swinger type groups. I have met women as a result. I found myself in with a group of people that were into everything. one on ones, group/swinging, animal sex and children being used in BD/SM. I reported them. Again all the police were interested in was pictures. No pictures, so no interest.

BIBI---FYI,I saw the same report on MANY networks. They said that
the network wouldn't play his special, unless he did the interview,
on the same network.(CBS?) Irish
P.S.In the early 70s,I was arrested in Ports,NH,for Aggravated
Assault(a felony)To make a long story short,I eventually went to
Rockingham County,Superior Court.I was sentenced to 3yrs,1day,
in the State Prison. The day means NO PAROLE!My lawyer(Old riding buddy)said "Do you have another $500?He said," Get in your car & go home, you're going to get probation!"I told him that
I couldn't walk thru all of those Baliffs at the door.He said,"Don't
worry,it will be taken care of by then."I don't know who got the
$500,I don't care,I didn't do the time.My probation officer,went to
high school,with my wife.When moving,to a different county,he got me an early release!On his advice,I stayed "clean"for a year,
I took my records to court & for $300 more,I got a complete
record annulment.Like I said before-It's not what you did,it's who
you know & how much money you spend! Now I can apply, for a job & don't have to list any arrests!

Gentlefolk,

Well, it is official; Mr. Jackson has been arraigned on seven counts of child molestation and two counts of administering intoxicating liquor to a minor with the intent of committing a crime.

Mr. Jackson pleaded not guilty.

I wonder if he had his bellhop outfit on to court?

Irish 01-16-2004 12:59 PM

When watching TV,last night,I was amazed!They covered,the rallys,that his supporters,were having.They were, mostly,young
people,break dancing,and such.His musical talents,aren't whats
on trial.I got the impression, that his supporters, didn't even know
the issues.Your talents,have nothing to do with your lifestyle!I think,that I'm a great mechanic,but that doesn't mean that I don't
have OTHER faults. Irish
P.S.My $.02.

Nose Piece? EEEEUUWWWWWWW.....Does he have to have it anchored in place? I saw the picture of his mug shot taken in Santa Barbara. The guy is whiter than I am in the winter time.Long stringy black hair and ruby red lip stick. You are scaring the chidren Michael....You are very ghoulish looking. There is nothing wrong with being eccentric,it's even considered a positive quality to some. But Jeeeeeezus Mike, I hope for your sake you are innocent of these charges.Your fans deserve better from you.

Great point Irish! I'm not so sure O.J. would have gotten such a break in his trial had he been a construction worker!

TY for the update jseal.....I miss all this stuff until the weekends!

Seven counts? The same case? I still think the child's parents should be brought up on charges when this case plays through and Michael is convicted or not! D.H.S. should be required to step in and do their utmost duty in a child endangerment case....of which I still think this is. His parent[s] had to have heard of the previous allegations! According to law.......the plea of ignorance is not the best defense!

Vigil 01-17-2004 01:56 AM

No One is going to win in this case.

Well, apart from the Lawyers of course.

And let's try to remember that it is actually about a Kid, not Mr. Jackson nor the Police nor the DA.

His supporters on TV have that look in their eye as if he is their Messiah - anyone else find that a bit scary?

Catch22 01-17-2004 03:29 AM

A lot of the fans were paid to be there they are saying on the news out here.

Catch22 01-17-2004 03:33 AM

Here is a site showing his face over the years. Shows the fake nose tip.

Irish 01-17-2004 09:03 AM

Lixy---In court, they tell you that "Ignorance of the law,is NO excuse!"After watching, some of the court proceedings,I REALLY
don't think,that he realises,just how serious,these charges are.
He was late for the court date, got chewed out,by the judge, for
being late.His "newer"lawyer,who isn't cleared,to practice law in
Calif. yet,was told by the judge,to sit down & shut up!This isn't
the OJ trial & this judge isn't Judge Ito.He sat in his car,for 10mins,
before court & then shook hands, with many on his way in.No wonder,he was late! After, supporters were invited, back to Never-
land,for a snack & tour. Irish

BIBI 01-17-2004 01:35 PM

After seeing his mug shot, all I could think of was that he must be the guy that lived in my closet when I was a kid....
