I'm not going to change your mind & you're not going to change mine,so let's just drop it.We're just wasting space! Irish

If we aren't careful, this thread will find it's way to Lil's "Storage Bin" permanently.

Let's each of us go to a neutral corner of our sandbox and play nice, or we'll be proving that we CAN'T handle a discussion of this type like adults. I'd like to believe that we can.

Oldfart 11-02-2003 04:58 AM

I suspect that the original thrust of the thread has been thrust.

BIBI, (sniff, deep heartbroken sigh) does this mean that the

signed naked picture is not happening?

jseal 11-02-2003 10:49 AM

BIBI,

I’ve already rented a hall for the occasion! Tell us it ain’t so!

BIBI 11-02-2003 12:02 PM

DID SOMEONE MENTION THRUST?????

Well...........................Oldfart and jseal,

I'll get back to you guys. ;)

Teddy Bear & Lilith & Sharniqua,

Hey! It is "A Knight’s Tale" – sorta! It has NOTHING to do with the story of the same name from The Canterbury Tales, but it does "point back to" it!

And yes, Mr. Ledger is "easy on the eyes", as my daughter says.

Sharni 11-02-2003 08:12 PM

Yep

jseal 11-02-2003 08:19 PM

Sharniqua,

Well, I defer to the female judgement on matters of this nature.

Teddy Bear 11-03-2003 02:14 AM

jseal you crack me up! The last mention of Heath Ledger was waaaaay back..... like page 3! Guess it was on your mind. Funny how the mind works and what things stick with us. :)

btw, I don't think there's anything wrong with a guy commenting on another guys looks. So go watch a Heath Ledger movie with your daughter and let me know what you think. :D (How old is your daughter?)

Steph 11-03-2003 08:33 AM

Even dead people know Heath is yummy!

Teddy Bear,

Jennifer is 17... going on 32. The waters of life are a mite choppy these days.

I have no taboo about saying a guy is handsome, but to do so in front of my not-so-little princess is to invite a 10-minute lecture as to how he is HOT - not handsome Daddy! How would YOU know when a guy is hot? Is there something you want to tell us?
Etc. etc. etc.

Teddy Bear 11-03-2003 07:07 PM

ROFLMAO!!!

jseal.... I sit here with tears of laughter because I know exactly what your going through!! Just one of the many joys of having a daughter. I have a 17 1/2 yr old princess. I also have a lovely 22 yr old daughter. (Have to be careful what I say about her, she's a member of Pixies & will kill me if I bad mouth her. lol) Trust me the choppy waters of life you mention do not go away when they're no longer teens, they're just caused by other issues. But for all the pain-in-the-ass times or the worried-to-death times or the just plain 'ole geez-I-could-strangle-her times, there's just nothing in the world as special as your little girl. Somehow we'll survive!! Stay strong jseal. lmao. And I still wanna know what you think of Heath Ledger. :)

Steph,,,, instead of saying 'I see dead people', do they say 'I see Heath'? :D

Teddy Bear,

While not a Heath Ledger film, I did sit through "What a Girl Wants", which includes Colin Firth and Amanda Bynes. As by now you can probably tell, this is not a film which I would seek out. Fortunately, I need not worry about that, as Jennifer has that under control.

Mr. Firth is a very handsome man indeed. I do recall seeing him in a production more to my taste, "Pride and Prejudice", in which he played the character of Mr. Darcy. Gogeously shot, and very faithfull to the novel. Very faithful, that is with the exception of the scene in which Mr. Darcy, thinking himself alone, dives into the pond near his estate and thereby provides Elizabeth Bennet and her companions with a wet-t-shirt-competition image. Very clever and, no doubt added immensly to the legions of Firth teeny boppers, but pure Hollywood.
