It's been a month now, Sharni. Is the little lad doing well with his burns? Hope it's going well for him.

I run a Walking Group for patients/clients as part of my job, and yesterday (Friday) was the latest excursion. We had been planning to do part of the West Highland Way called Conic Hill... we did it 2 years ago, and figured because of the Very high (for Scotland!!) temperatures, we'd skip that and do what looked like a pretty easy section! Oops!! Turned out there were lots of pretty steep climbs, the last one of which was a 300ft ascent in a distance of less than 1/4 of a mile!!

Still, we made it! (just) Nice thing was, we pased and re-passed and passed again a young couple from Hawaii, who'd come over to walk the full 'Way (96 miles!!!) and expected the usual Scottish summer - i.e. wind, rain, midges......... LOL!! THEY made it too, despite the lassie carrying a pretty badly cut knee!!

Anyhoo..... VERY stiff and sore this morning, despite a long soak in the tub last night! The things I do for my job!! :)

I can't believe I'm getting ready for work. Because of the heat, the overtime I worked last night and the dog getting sprayed by a skunk, I've only had about two, maybe three hours of sleep. I spent 10 hours in an unconditioned building at work, and came home to sweltering heat because we couldn't use our fans . . . I'm so tired and if work doesn't have a/c going, I'll probably have to turn around and go home.

Tyler had to miss work to tend to the de-stinking of the dog. Craziness.

I am getting ready to leave work and pack for vacation. Can't wait. Kids go back to school after we get back. I'll miss pixies, it will give me plenty to read when we get back. See you fellow pixies.

Went to orientation at University of Chicago and fell in love with my new school. Decided between two jobs. Talked to an old friend and planned to get together this weekend.

Can't believe I woke up at 2:30 this morning. That's early even for me. Anyway, as usual, my first thought is to hop onto Pixies and see what's happening.

Exceptionally quiet, it seems. Probably ought to lay back down for an hour since I do have to work today. :(

Woke up at 530 with the bf. Watched the news while he was int he shower... Kissed him as he left... Sat down and watched another 5 minutes of the news until I heard Pixies Place calling my name. The rest of the day will consist of cross stitch TV and looking for a job...

Sounds better than getting eaten by clowns...they always leave white makeup on your thighs. ha ha.

Woke up at 6:30, scratched and rubbed myself until 6:45 or so, showered, dressed & fed the kids, put them on the bus, had breakfast & coffee, came to work, hollered at a few morons, logged on to pixies and started to relax.

Woke up about three thirty and came directly to Pixies. Posted and posted and still doing that.

It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it. :D

Gee, since 8/30 no one's posted. Just to bring you up-to-date ...

1. Been stung by bees,
2. Had to rid my 'puter of a virus,
3. Been working about every day (usually only five hours or so)
4. Posting on Pixies whenever I can

Had to take CA's car to the "Doctors" yesterday....... split exhaust!! :(

Went for a wee run, then lunched "out". Feeling frisky when we got back...... NO kids, NO people on the phone/at the door....... BLISS!! (Couldn't find the spare memory card for the camera, so NO pics, either!! ;)

Had to go look after my daughter last night, while her mother went out "on the piss"!!! Don't mind that, but my Ex's PC (which is a LOT newer than mine!) runs XP and a dial-up...... combined with a tendency to shut of Windows at the most inopportune times, is enough to drive a Saint nuts..... and I ain't no Saint!! :devil:

Ho hum....... back there tonight, too! :( :(

Fixed up my resume with a nice co-worker over the weekend, applied for two jobs on Monday and heard back from one on Tuesday. Went to the job interview but couldn't find the address. Found the street, found the other nearby addresses . . . realized I was going to be late and realized I didn't really want that job . . .

Nice morning sex session this morning. Am taking a break from pretty much everything until work at 3:30 p.m.

Oh wait, looks like a good job to apply for . . .

Woke up about 3:30 and figured I'd just log on to see what was happening. It's after 6:00 and I'm still here. It's raining out. I was suppose to be in a parade today, but not sure if it'll happen right now. :(

Oh well, it'd give me more time for Pixies. (Am I addicted or what? :D )

Have to work this weekend ~ but we were really quiet, so I had plenty of time to work on my story!! Gonna get an opinion or two on it, then (IF it comes up to scratch!!) post it. Funny, but the prospect of that makes me MORE nervous than ANY picture I've posted!! Go figure, huh?? :)
