BIBI.

Still thinking?

jseal probably wanted to know to lol

Teddy Bear 11-05-2003 08:18 AM

jseal,

I'm surprised my daughters haven't brought this movie home yet.

If this Colin Firth is as hot as you say, it's only a matter of time before we own every movie he's ever been in. lol.

jseal 11-05-2003 09:06 AM

Oldfart,

Yes sir, I am. Eagerly.

jseal 11-05-2003 01:13 PM

Ladies,

I would not presume to be competent to judge such a glamour tourney.

Teddy Bear 11-05-2003 01:15 PM

Colin Farrell....???

Drawing a blank. Where would I know him from?

If I upset her, she can spank me! In fact, she can spank me anyway :)

Mods do have absolute control over their forum, and we should all respect that in any forum. I was just expressing an opinion about how this thread should be handled.

Also, I've seen disrepect and ad hominem attacks on other forums, and we haven't even begun to reach the depths here that some of those have.

Nor will we;)

Teddy Bear,

Mr. Firth actually has a decent filmography, most of which I have not seen, but "Lost Empires" and "A Month in the Country" are both period pieces, and in the later he plays a tortured soul reminiscent of Darcy, but rather more humble.

PantyFanatic 11-09-2003 08:39 PM

I hope there is a way that ALL poster from this thread can find a transcript of Andy Rooney’s comments on 60-Minutes tonight.:)

(Weekly American TV show)

Sugarsprinkles 11-09-2003 08:42 PM

I agree, PF..........his editorial tonight was priceless!!! :D

Steph 11-09-2003 08:48 PM

Sugarsprinkles 11-09-2003 08:50 PM

Thanks Steph, but that was last week's editorial. Tonight he was talking about the responses he got to that one.

<---gets up out of chair, puts popcorn box down to speak...

Been watching this thread for awhile now...I have a few things to add....

Firstly, just so you all know my political persuasion, I will disclose that I am a Republican though a centrist one.

I believe that the President had a responsibility to the security of the Country to act against the Saddam regime. We tried diplomacy for over a decade. IT DIDN'T WORK. Everyone needs to accept that fact and not deny it.

I am a man of peace but enough is enough. The time had come to act. The difference (in this matter) between George W. Bush and Bill Clinton is that Bush had the backbone (along with our British and Australian brothers and sisters) to make a difficult decision while all Clinton could manage to do was lob a few cruise missiles at Saddam. Bush did the right thing.

War is a dirty business but sometimes a necessary one in a world where some have no respect for life (Saddam, Osama, et al)...

As for those who disagree with the war, I also invoke Abraham Lincoln and "defend their right to say it". I'll even hold the microphone for them! :)

Will I "blacklist" the folks on Irish's list? Well...only two. The Dixie Chicks (because of what that lead singer bitch of theirs said AND WHERE SHE SAID IT was flat out un-American) and Julia Roberts (for once calling all Republicans "repugnant"...something I took personal offense to...talk about intolerance).

Finally, a kind word for all fellow Pixies people who post this thread...heed Sharni's counsel and be civil...next to Sharni I am probably the most tenured person who's posted this thread and I've seen what these things can turn into. I will not hesitate to support any Moderator (or Moderatrix... :p ) who sees fit to grease anyone who steps across the line.

...picking up my popcorn box and returning to my seat.

Yeah, you're right Irish...she goes on the list too. Again, OK to state your beliefs but when you cross the line the way she did, that's just pure treason.
