I from the uk! Prices of petrol are bloody expensive ill tell you that!! £1.40p per litre! Which is £5.60p per gallon.

Worke it out at $2.2488 per litre and $8.9953 per gallon!

Consider yourselves lucky haha

Oldfart 10-12-2012 07:22 PM

Fuckedyoursis, an American gallon is only 3.7 litres, making it 5.18 pounds per US gall.

At 4.54 litres per Imperial gallon, it's over 6 pounds.

Fuckedyoursis 10-16-2012 02:41 AM

Ahh right! Still bloody expensive haha! It should be going down not up :(

Lord Snow 10-16-2012 10:50 AM

You need to think like a businessman. If the cost for you to purchase gas for resale has gone up then the price will go up so that you continue to make a profit. If the price of that same gas for resale goes down, the price goes up to increase your profit margin. Then if anything happens that could possibly affect you obtaining said gas, or damaging your profits the price goes up. I fail to see why the price would go down from that stand point.

dicksbro 10-18-2012 02:28 AM

$3.79 in our little town and 10 miles away in Peoria, it's $3.56. Go figure. :(

If you look at the price of coffee, you'll see a similar trend. Supply goes down, the price goes up. Supply picks up, no change in the price. Supply drops again, price goes up. And on, and on, and on.

dicksbro 10-19-2012 08:29 AM

$3.69 this morning. Maybe they lost enough customers locally with the highest prices around they finally got self concious and have started down. :(

Oldfart 10-19-2012 08:58 AM

You assume a shame they probably don't have.

jay-t 10-21-2012 08:55 PM

gas her dropped to $3.20
diesel is $4.09

Oldfart 10-21-2012 09:30 PM

There is no greener shade of envy than me at the moment, excepting perhaps DM.

PantyFanatic 10-21-2012 11:00 PM

Like JT, a bewildering $3.20/g (AU$0.81/L) showed up on Thursday from a staggering $4.00/g at the first of the month (when the mass pay checks go out) and has crept $3.50/g for the weekend. ............................ Because they CAN!

and OF & DM have even a bigger reason to be outraged at the sheer extortion. :ranting:

Oldfart 10-22-2012 01:23 AM

Perhaps it's time to start re-manufacturing the first car in the world to do one hundred miles in one hour, the Stanley Steamer. Can we please borrow yours as a pattern, PantyFanatic?

jseal 10-22-2012 05:55 PM

$3.60/gal today

sodaklostsoul 01-03-2013 07:55 PM

Back down to $2.95 after being $3.06 for holiday.

dicksbro 01-04-2013 03:23 AM

Still $3.06 here ... down from $3.09 just a couple of days ago.

Lilith 01-04-2013 10:21 AM

I traveled in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi yesterday and saw prices between 3.09 and 3.45

Lord Snow 01-04-2013 12:52 PM

$3.16 before my Kroger card.

Missed this at the time.

At present, the cheapest petrol (gas) near me is £1.31 per litre, which equals £5.96 per UK gallon. Or $9.70 per UK gallon at todays online exchange rate!

I have two cars, one of which is a 3-litre petrol (Subaru Legacy) the other is a 1.9-litre Alfa Romeo diesel.

Diesel is currently £1.39/litre or £6.32/$10.30 per UK gallon.

:( :box:

Can't be bothered working out the price per US Gallon, but it's not good!

DM

Edit: Right, it bugged me, OK? ;)

1 UK gallon = 1.20095 US gallons, or 1 US gallon = 0.83267 UK gallon.

So, petrol = $8.08/US Gallon, diesel = $8.58/US Gallon.

I think I'll go for a lie down now ……

DM

Coaster 01-04-2013 06:18 PM

WOW DM.... now my head even hurts!!! Thanks for figuring that all out but..... what was the question?

Oldfart 01-04-2013 07:45 PM

The question was, "Which well-known mouse pays $US5.00 per gallon more than his American forum friends?"

Locally, the low price seems to be $3.02 and we seem to be the lowest in the area. Interesting since it was just a week or two ago we were the highest in the area.

I understand some of the drop is due mainly to "storage tanks being full" and "demand running below normal. Guess we can just keep hoping they keep the storage tanks full and people continue to use restraint on extra driving. :wish:

:)

Broom malfunction, PF?

dicksbro 01-09-2013 04:39 AM

$2.97 here last night!!

jay-t 01-09-2013 05:37 PM

$2.79 here

sodaklostsoul 01-09-2013 07:30 PM

$3.91 but I think we will be $2.89 in morning.

dicksbro 01-10-2013 04:50 AM

$2.86 yesterday.

jseal 01-10-2013 07:27 PM

$3.36/gal yesterday

Lord Snow 01-10-2013 08:47 PM

$3.19 just down the road from me.

dicksbro 01-12-2013 05:18 AM

Back up to $2.93 .... hope that doesn't mean it's going to keep going up.

Most around here seem to be at $3.19 ... but, and it's unusual, right now we're about the lowest price around. :)

jseal 01-12-2013 07:35 AM

I remember, or I think I remember, my father becoming angry when the price went up to $0.28/gal, but that was many, many moons ago!

Oldfart 01-12-2013 08:14 AM

Before the Government had too many billion dollar projects, I'll bet.

jseal 01-12-2013 10:24 AM

There’s much to that, Oldfart

dicksbro 01-16-2013 04:39 AM

Well, we've caught up with the surrounding town's $3.19. :(

Not bad, I guess, but not as nice as seeing it under $3.00.

dicksbro 01-17-2013 03:20 AM

Oh boy, it dropped to $3.18.

(At least it dropped.)

sodaklostsoul 01-21-2013 02:54 PM

Back to $3.06

jseal 03-29-2013 05:32 AM

$3.56/gal here yesterday.

dicksbro 03-29-2013 05:35 AM

We were at $3.54 last night when I came home from Peoria. Still too high, but much better than the $3.79 it had been just a week or so ago.

jseal 03-29-2013 05:47 AM

It is time for the EPA to relax or abandon the purchasing schedule for corn-based ethanol!

Coaster 03-29-2013 05:52 AM

It's 3.69 here and averaged 4.19 in CA :yikes:
